this app crashes way too much. I use this for my work schedule as well as other important dates and it’s very frustrating to not have access to that. I will be finding something else that is more reliable.

It’s okay. I don’t like the limited options. I don’t like that I can’t leave myself notes in a separate area. Like a Post It tab where I can write upcoming dates for things.

App crashes

The app crashes more often than not. When that happens I’m unable to access my schedule and this is the only place I have my schedule.

Almost always not working now

Like others have mentioned, recently the app is not loading. I am unable to see my schedule or make changes. I rely on this app to view my schedule because it also shows what I days I inputting for self-schedule that is not usually published for a few weeks at my hospital. All nurses know the inconvenience this causes when trying to make plans with family or friends and I cant open the app to see if I placed myself to work that day. Please fix the glitch or I’ll have to go back to old Google calendar.

Log in fail

Second time in a few months that the app log in fails repeatedly and I cannot use it. Updating the app does not help. I uninstalled and then reinstalled app and then could no longer use my old account. All possible emails and phone numbers were now some How “not found” I hold out for a few weeks and then finally just make a new account forgoing the feature of colleagues because I don’t want to have to reconnect all of that but just to keep my schedule. But here we are again today, LOG In fAiLeD repeat repeat repeat! I’m over it

Unreliable lately

This app continues to crash and have trouble loading my calendar. It often says error or “login failure“ and requires a refresh, and then the refresh loads a completely empty calendar. Not good if it’s what you rely on solely for your work schedule.

Deleted after 5 minutes

Why in the world would an app designed for shifts make you input the times instead of creating presaved shifts and then choosing between those when throwing them in your schedule. I threw in my day shifts, changed the time and then put in my night shifts but apparently you have to save between every change in time. It felt like that moment you realized you didn’t save your Word doc after spending a long time on it. Not only that but you were deceived into thinking the Word doc was saving itself. Horrible design and no instructions.

Love the app until the last update

I absolutely loved NurseGrid for its feature where it would share my shifts automatically with my Apple calendar. However after the last update it has stopped. Super frustrating.

I’ve used this for a while now. I try to log in today and I see that the app is unavailable. I’m tired of not being able to see my schedule for multiple workplaces due to network issues and updates. I find it funny that an add was able to pop up still even though the functionality of the app is not there. I really don’t understand how your personal schedule isn’t available offline. If I have to upload to Apple or Google calendars then I may as well just use those apps natively. Sorry but y’all have lost it.

Always down!!!

I love this app and use it over my work provided schedule app. However, it is ALWAYS DOWN! They are always doing something to the app, I feel like multiple times a week, and then you are unable to check your schedule. I do rely on this app so it’s frustrating when I’m trying to plan something or someone asks for my schedule and I’m unable to pull it up because I keep getting errors or pop ups telling me they are revamping the app. I also wish it would load your schedule when you do not have service. I don’t know why you need service to see some colored boxes. Also frustrating when you are trying to check your schedule somewhere that lacks internet connection (because you cannot). I always have to screenshot the app incase it’s down or I don’t have internet. Would love for these things to be fixed 🙏🏼

Super inconvenient to keep your work schedule on this one app only when they have error messages stating its app is unavailable. I highly recommend using other methods of storing your work schedule days due to this error.

Great organization but inconvenient

Overall great calendar organization but completely unusable and useless if you don't have decent internet service. I wish it could still be accessed offline.

Mediocre at Best

You can't see your schedule if you don't have wifi or good service. i understand not being able to see other colleagues schedules but not even your own?? Also the interface is just old. Outdated. Too much detail to explain here what’s ancient technology in this app. Can't search by first name, can't switch shifts on your calender easily. Everything is multiple steps. Very frustrating not user friendly app. Would happily delete but the best function is being able to see co-workers schedules. That's it.

Always online

This app will not work without an internet connection! I understand that the internet is needed to see my colleagues schedules but let me look at my scheduled shifts without having to be online! It’s ridiculous.

Helpful, but ads + questions suck

This is really helpful for keeping me and my friends in the medical field in the know on each other’s schedules. But, buuuut, oh my god, you have to deal with so many stupid ads offering CEU’s (as though we don’t have that dialed in) and so many “Are you liking us?” “How ‘bout now…do you like us?” Our jobs are already irritating enough without this app stopping to take up more time clicking X on more “NO” boxes.

Fix please

I want to love this app but it’s getting to be annoying. I turned off the notifications for shift reflection and it still sends me them. I DON’T WANT TO DO IT. It doesn’t even notified you about when your shift starts. So can you please fix this and I’ll redownload it. Please and thank you.

Bad since healthstream

I used to love this app… I used to tell everyone to use it, but since Healthstream took over all they are doing is advertising and it’s annoying.

Not loading

The app is not loading I typically don’t have problems with this app and love it but it is giving problems with loading and failing to load.

App does not work

I have been using NurseGrid for 2 years, but now the app will not load. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and I still get the same error message: “Login Failed. We’re sorry; we’ve encountered an error and failed to refresh your data. Please try again.” I had to leave a review since the isn’t a way to contact support or report a bug.

Suddenly logged out and unable to get back in

I have used nurse grid for years and suddenly today it wouldn’t load my data and now I can log back in. I tried to report an issue with the app and neither the developer or Apple allowed me to report a bug. I figured if I left a negative review maybe someone would be able to look into it. Before this situation it’s a solid 5/5

Poor connection

Usually works great! 5/5. RN ATM, took about 20 minutes to connect, even when connected, poor lagging functioning, hope it’s just a one off

Unable to login

Nothing is loading on the app right now? I deleted the app and downloaded it again and couldn’t even login.

Some drawbacks

Deleting messages shouldnt be like trying to remove a forced ad and the profile picture issue is hilariously bad. UI issues persist with adding work events, saving and editing notes for scheduled events, etc

Tech issue

Recently I am unable to add or delete shifts from my calendar. The changes I make will momentarily populate on my calendar but then disappear. Checked to see if there was an update to the app but didn’t find one.

Why is a hospital needed???

I’m a new RN and thought this app would make things easier, turns out I made an account for nothing because why can’t I manually insert my schedule and it goes from there. Why does my hospital not showing up prevent me from doing so?

Good but lacking

I think this is a good app but is definitely not great. It feels very aged to me. There are apps with more functionality and more features. I think this is used because it’s just a standard with nurses, everyone just hops in cuz it’s what’s popular. Not sure if that’s why there are few updates and far between. Simple is good which is a great part of this app but there aredefinitely ways that can make it more user friendly and keep up with the times. With this app being out 4 years. I’m just expecting more. As others have suggested a dark mode would be appreciated as well as the ability to have a widget on your Home Screen for quick and easy viewing. More colors, icons that pertain to other aspects of life. I would also like to maybe have days with multiple events have a split color to see that my day isn’t just full of one thing without having to click on the dots for everyday I have lots going on. Also, definitely need to be able to compare multiple colleagues. Fortunately for me, I have more than one friend/coworker so it would be great to be able to pair up my schedule with ALL of them . Good app but can be better. Other Apps are too advanced for it to not have these features . Developers-I feel like need to be a little more innovative with ideas and make it a priority to push out not only bug fixes but ALSO new features, maybe a slightly different upgraded interface.

Needs better integration

I wish this came with a feature that pulls my calendar data from google or calendar or other task/event like apps. There are times I forget I have life events when I’m scheduling my shifts and that leads to conflicts and I end up having to find coverage.

Unable to get it to sync to my google calendar

Syncing worked for the most part when I had an android, however despite how many times I try to get app to sync to my google calendar it never works

For me, it’s missing a few things

I think this app is great, and i love the visuals and that I can clearly see what nights I work vs trying to visualize it with my iPhone calendar. But the next 2 needs I have are 1) syncing between devices - I’m not sure I see the need for logging in and having an account if when I log in to my phone, the calendar is empty after I updated it on my iPad - and 2) to be able to import calendar events from my iPhone calendar (not to). I hope to see these features in the future, especially the device sync, because I think that’s important. Otherwise it definitely is great.

Needs improvement

Seriously, this app needs to add the ability to differentiate shifts in color for those of us whose shifts Change., i.e. blue for 7a-7p, yellow for 11a-7p, etc I’m confounded by the lack of progress this app has made over the years

Stopped working consistently

I’ve always loved this app and have relied on it to keep track of my schedule at multiple job sites for years. But the past couple of months, it keeps giving me an error message and it’s hit or miss as to whether or not it will work. Nurse Grid, please address this issue, I want to keep using this app!!

Ugh

It is virtually impossible to add people on this app. I have had major issues with not only finding co-workers, friends, etc. but also when I “request them” they either do not receive it (even though it says sent on my end) or they accept it but it tells me that they haven’t. This means they can look at my schedule but I can’t look at their. It’s is extremely frustrating, so now I have to screenshot my schedule and send it to others. However, I am very pleased with how nicely I can keep track of my own schedule. It’s very well equipped for that. I’m giving it a 2 because the only reason I downloaded it was so that I can share my schedule, which is a pain in the behind to do.

Not much functionality

It is straightforward to use and has many potentials if you are connected to your co-workers and if your organization is using the app. I wish there were a way to make it more personable. For example, it would be better to use emojis or something more straightforward in the credentials listing instead of pictures. I wish there were a way to network with others. And ranking of hospitals, agency providers, and references such as .gov, CDC, HIPAA, state laws for more medical workers.

I wish there was an option to add events or things into the calendar that don’t have to be linked to a shift in a specific area. Then I can block off days for other reasons and know that I can’t work when I pull up the calendar.
