Refund Policy

This policy applies to everything sold on Opportunity Market, on both payment methods.

Plans

A plan can be refunded in full within 14 days of the purchase date. After 14 days a plan is not refundable, and because a purchase buys 30 days and then stops, there is never a renewal to be surprised by or to claim back.

You do not have to buy in order to try: a free account opens 3 opportunities in full every 30 days, with no card and no payment. What is opened stays open.

Credits

Credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase for the part of the balance you have not spent. Spent credits are not refundable, because each one has already paid for work that was carried out — a crawl, model calls, and a written brief that stays in your account.

Nothing here is a judgement call. Every credit movement is recorded with the balance it left behind, and you can read the whole list on your account page — so "unspent" is a number we both look at, not a figure to be argued over. For reference, one cluster brief costs 50 credits.

How to ask for a refund

Email opportunitymarket.org@gmail.com from the address on your account, and include the order code or the invoice number from your receipt. No reason is required.

If you paid by card, you can also request the refund directly from Paddle, who are the seller of record for that payment — their contact details are on the receipt they sent you.

How the money comes back

A refund is always returned by the route it arrived on. A card payment is refunded to the same card by Paddle; a domestic bank transfer is refunded to the account it was sent from. We cannot send a refund somewhere else, and we will not ask you for bank details we do not already have.

Refunds are approved within 3 business days of the request. How long the money then takes to appear is your bank's or card issuer's to decide, and is typically 5 to 10 business days.

When a plan is refunded the account returns to the free plan immediately. When credits are refunded the refunded credits are removed from the balance, which is recorded in your credit history like any other movement.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy reduces any right you have under the consumer law that applies to you. If your country gives you a stronger right to cancel or to a refund than the 14 days above, that right applies instead.
