Far too much useless information! I just spent over an hour trying to find Hartland branch hours! Searching gave me no useful information! Tons of useless information but nothing useful!! I want the program I have used for YEARS! No games or anything useless! What hours is the branch in Sentry open?!?!

Recent Updates Major Downgrade

A lot of recent aesthetic changes that really reduce my experience with their distracting and ugly nature (obnoxious AI icon, image of car on route rather than simplified arrow, annoying AI “personalization” at the bottom). When I am traveling I want a safe, low distraction experience without a bunch of clutter. The redesigned icon for the app is also uglier. The navigation voice is also different (and grating) with no readily accessible way to change it without changing my language region. Edit: down to one star from two. Just remembered the way the map has been freezing and failing to update. And now I see the “Lake America” nonsense. I’m done with this app.

App missing vital information

Google sent us to the dump instead of the middle school we entered. We ended up missing my grandson in his football game. We ended up using Apple Maps and found the school.

Absolutely unhelpful in New York City

The app made me waits the battery of my car everywhere, but the place that I was trying to get. Terrible.

They ruined it.

As a long time apple user who would literally yell at people for using Apple Maps over Google Maps, I would literally use a compass without a map over Google Maps. When are you going to realize that Gemini is a garbage product and does not need to be integrated with the whole Google suite

Hate the new voice

Please allow the option to change the voice on iOS. The new voice is terrible. Switching to Apple Maps until this is fixed

Redirects and changes your destination without notice

I set my destination to a gas station. It confirmed that I was heading to a gas station. Fifteen minutes later I am in a residential area and it tells me that my destination is on the left. It is a house. Google Maps is ridiculous and unreliable!

New voice is terrible

The new voice is terrible with no option to change it. The voice sounds like an annoyed teenage girl who is rolling her eyes and probably tapping her nails on her phone while giving you instructions.

Needs functionality and multitasking to meet the year 2026

Just because I switch to another app doesn’t mean when I come back 5-10 mins later I don’t want to see the same directions I was just looking at. I don’t want to search the route again and have different directions come up. Come on! How has no one at Google thought to change this in all these years. Just pause or save my trip in the background. It’s the most infuriating thing about the app.

New ai voice

New voice is to annoying to listen to during long drives. Not putting up with it uninstalling this app after probably 10 years of it installed

Horrible new voice

The voice changed suddenly a few days ago and it is horrible and with no option to choose a different voice. I use Maps all day for work and I just can’t with this voice. I’ll have to use Apple Maps or Waze until this gets fixed!
