The ‘expert’ was nice enough to ask if she could close the case after wasting my time.

Long story short I found that even though I had manually inserted the correct numbers from our W2’s, H&R Block’s product generated and utilized an incorrect “Federal Income Tax Withheld” value.

With no way to know if the problem was a data error or too many filing attempts, I was forced to mail my return on the April 15 deadline instead of e-filing.
