Chatbot AI Assistant - Genie — DO NOT GET!! ⚠️ This app is absolutely terrible, don’t listen to others. You have to pay monthly/yearly at an unreasonable price, and you only get a certain amount of “wishes” (how many texts you can text the AI in a day) and it is very frustrating!! Do not recommend at all. If you want…

…utomatically signs you up for a yearly subscription. not a good sign. I cancelled the trial before the deadline and they still charged me for a yearly subscription. Apple should review the reviews. I am not the only one tricked onto signing up for a whole year. When you request a refund it says it’s not eligible for…

Chatbot AI Assistant - Genie — This sucks Don’t bother downloading this, completely useless and waste of time . Not only do u have to pay a weekly or year subscription fee. You also have to pay for coins to be able to do anything on the app. I am so tired of being double charged for products.

Questions about this idea

Is Frustrating and Useless Chatbot Experience a startup idea?
Not directly. These are complaints about a product or service people already use, and the fix belongs first to that provider. The page shows what is frustrating users and how badly — not an open market to start a company in.
How many people have this problem?
74 different people described it independently, in 74 mentions, the earliest from 15 Jul 2023 and the most recent from 26 Oct 2026. The quotes, with dates and links to the originals, are in the Evidence section.
Is this problem getting worse?
Status: steady — no change the counts can show. 5 people raised it in the last 30 days and 14 in the 30 days before; the status compares its share of everything collected from the same source, so collecting more or less cannot create a trend.

The Genie app is charging people for yearly subscriptions and then demanding extra payments for credits just to send basic messages. We have heard from 53 people who were billed immediately for free trials or lost $40 on memberships that still won't answer simple questions. When you reached out to support about these double charges or refund requests, what specific excuses did they give you for the missing credits?
