Hard to use, Incredibly expensive, every time the app is updated they REMOVE features??? I will be switching to another provider after this tax year

Horrible

Don’t use this app it is severely overpriced even my CPA said so and the day I canceled with them, they took the money out that morning. I canceled that afternoon and they will not refund my money. It’s pretty bad when a CPA says stay away from this!

The plan does not support the mobile app message

When i logged in, i am offered the option to I click a link that reads “clients.” I clicked on the link, but a pop up appeared that states, “app does not support the mobile app” and further reads, “sign out, and click on web instead.” The pop up has an “Ok” button that closes this pop up. However, the pop up reappears after clicking “Ok,” and won’t go away after multiple clicks of “OK”. Now I can’t log in to my own quickbooks file for my company, even after I hard close the program. The app should fix this issue or remove the “client” link altogether if it’s not part of my plan.

Problems loading and tracking

The app always lags in opening and doesn’t seem to track all your trips.

Highly Unreliable Mileage Tracker

This app used to reliably track my mileage. Now, it auto tracks one out of every 10, maybe. Updated to add: Intuit’s response was to send me instructions on how setup the tracking feature. As previously stated, I’ve been tracking my mileage. The app stopped working despite settings being accurate. Don’t treat customers like idiots.

Terrible ai system. Constant rejecting customers.

When I call to ask for help they tell me it’s an ai system and they can’t do anything about it when it randomly kicks back 80 percent of my customers. This has been an embarrassment to me and i have told every one of my customers to steer far away from quick books if they ever venture out on their own business

TRASH APP

Trash app…… says my bank account is linked but shows no updates….. definitely canceling my subscription and going somewhere else. I don’t recommend this app at all if you’re starting new

I feel like it’s more than doubled in price since we bought it. That’s really the only thing I can say that is bad about the app.

OK but Limited Feature Set

Was hoping I could handle my treasurer’s workflow in this app for a non-profit organization which includes categorizing financial transactions and creating monthly reports. The Accounting menu in the app has a Bank Transactions tab which lets me handle transaction processing for our bank accounts but sadly it is missing the Integration Transactions tab so I am not able to process any of our PayPal POS sales transactions. I’m headed back to QuickBooks Online which has all of the features I need to complete my tasks.

Terrible

Terrible app. I have to sign back in every time I want to use the app and it takes forever to load. I like to use QuickBooks for mileage tracking but it’s nearly impossible to do accurately because I’m constantly signed out of the app.

App won’t load

I use this daily for invoicing and bookkeeping and I must say it’s been tremendous! However since the last update the app will not load so I’m forced to using the browser which Im not used to. All I get is a white background and a some spinning green dots. Very frustrating

App version is a joke

The app version of QBO is a nightmare. I am an Accountant user and would love if this were actually useful for catching up on clients bank transactions, but it only shows about a month amd difficult or impossible to add new categories and vendors inside the app. Do better Intuit!

Can’t post/match bank transactions

Don’t send me to AI for help. I need help. App completely freezes. I am able to do this task on mobile browser and PC.

The program as far as book keeping works good. Unfortunately the merchant service provided by them is horrible. They will hold your funds for no reason. They will close your merchant account and then hold what ever funds for 180 days. All this without verifying anything with you first. Completely unacceptable for a new business. No reason why it should take this people 180 days to release funds to customers or businesses owners. On top of the customer service will lie. One person will tell you something and the next person something else. Find merchant services elsewhere

Glitchy functionality

While it’s great that quickbooks kind of days it all in one, it only does it all half well. It will go weeks without tracking my mileage. The new AI integration makes doing expenses take almost twice as long, as it’s glitchy and tends to override when I correct the categorization. I wish they could figure this out, because it’s very frustrating

The app is slow to load, refresh and open.

The app is very slow to load, which is frustrating when trying to quickly snap and book receipts. Makes a phone-based QuickBooks app essentially useless. Please fix.

Hidden fees

Title: Hidden fees and a discouraging experience Review: I’m giving QuickBooks 1 star because the fees feel hidden and the pricing isn’t clear upfront. I signed up expecting straightforward costs, but instead kept running into extra charges that weren’t obvious until after I was already using the product. The mobile app only adds to the frustration. Basic things that should be easy—like finding merchant services/payment settings—take too much digging, and the layout feels confusing and inconsistent. Overall, it’s been a discouraging experience and I wouldn’t recommend it if you want transparent pricing and a simple app.

Troubleshooting

It would be nice if there was a way to go back to the app from the troubleshooting screen without having to close and restart it.

QuickBooks dropped the ball

For years I had used the QuickBooks Self Employed app and then out of the blue QuickBooks discontinued the product. They now have reverted to QuickBooks Solepreneur which is actually labeled QuickBooks Business in the App Store. This new interface does not include quick buttons at the bottom of the screen for easy referencing to mileage, expenses, etc., you must go through the main menu now which is super annoying. Also, now none of my mileage will track while the app is closed like before even after changing the settings. Also none of my expenses are accessible through the app prior to June 1 of this year, another huge problem. Another annoying thing is it requires Face ID every time I login, even after changing the settings to not require it. This change was a huge shaft to my small business this year. I used and trusted Intuit QuickBooks Self Employed for so long, however I cannot deal with how stupid this app is now. I will be going to Everlance come the 1st of the year. My question still remains is, who thought this change was going to be a good idea? You have unlimited funds as far as a company goes, just make a separate app for other stuff and leave the one that works alone. :(

Glitchy app

So many glitches. I use it all the time and I don’t understand why this has 5 star reviews. The desktop version is great and I have been using for my business for 15 years. The app on iOS is constantly changing, being buggy and often I am forced to go to desktop to do things correctly

So Bad for a Paid Servie

Genuinely frustrating app to use, barely works. Have to close and open multiple times to just get it to login. The basic functions of invoicing and editing invoices compared to the web app is garbage.

Intuit support is terrible

Had a billing issue which was very clearly a bug in the platform - multiple payment methods informed me that Intuit was making incorrect card authorisations. Intuit’s developers repeatedly misunderstood the ticket and closed it as intended behaviour. Terrible support and will be moving to Xero after next payroll cycle.

Terrible on mobile

I can’t even sign in on mobile with the new update. App has always been slow and glitchy. Receipt snap has never worked correctly. I think it will finally be time for me to move on from this after this update

Constant Crashing On iPad

QuickBooks is crashing again on my iPad when I minimize the onscreen keyboard. This makes it difficult to use the app reliably for my business. The previous crashing issue took approximately eight months to resolve, and during that time the app would crash before I could even open it. Having another recurring crash is extremely frustrating. Please address this promptly. A business accounting app needs to be dependable.

Bank Transactions

Since downloading this latest version to my phone and IPAD the categorisation of bank transaction screen is completely frozen and unusable.

Glitchy

The last few versions including this latest one have had the program freeze every time I go to categorize transactions. Very frustrating!

Constantly crashing

Not a good experience. I have to constantly reset the app as it crashes when matching vendors and payments.

Horrible app after update. Extortion for more money

App was great in the beginning few years ago. Than got worse and worse, price got higher and higher. Now after mandatory upgrade said this app doesn’t support my account need to use web.

The worst costumer service ever

Terrible costumer service , the must expensive feeds on transactions, money stays on hold for ever and you have to call speak with a hundreds off peaple to get 0 services done, there is a lot better service out there

Good tool but freezes too much

It is very handy for small housekeeping in the field, but the app freezes too much even after reinstalls

No such thing as support!

These guys used to focus on helping their customers and improving products. Now everything is sales focused to the point they lie about what products do. This has happened not once, not twice, but three times! Then no one will cancel the fraudulent product, instead as soon as they find that out you want to remove a product. They just hang up on you. The wait to talk to a supervisor is hours! Needless to say I am switching companies.

Ever since the update a few months ago this app causes me wasted time in front of clients, wasted time learning the new UI. And WASTED time finding things. Garbage. Still same thing happening. Update. Still happening.

Still freezes up so often

This app is still, after this long, unusable for many reasons, but most importantly it consistently freezes up while categorizing transaction in bank feeds. Please fix this BASIC functionality!!!

Just got the app yesterday. Thought I could make like a bit easier sorting transactions on my phone. Wrong. I can get one transaction sorted, if I’m lucky. Then it freezes. Every time. Without fail. iPhone 16. iOS version 26.6.1
