17% of complaints say only that the app is bad, without saying what fails; they count as complaints but under no issue. A review can report more than one issue, so the shares do not add up to 100%.
What each release brought
Complaints per App Store version, newest first, with the issue reported most against it. A new version has had fewer days to collect complaints, so compare what is reported more than how much.

Horrible UI
App is complete trash now. Shows you posts that are days old with no ability to change the way posts are sorted. Reddit went from a fantastic platform to one with a truly terrible user experience.
Broken
Feeds are broken. Highlights aren’t showing r/nba feed.
Why do you guys hate your own website?
I went ahead and finally deleted just can’t stand what you’ve done to feeds and preventing use of the far superior in every single way shape and form website. I’ve never seen a company so egregiously hateful to their own user base.
Forcing me to use the app
Reddit gets 1 star for FORCING me to download the app incessantly when I’m simply trying to read a thread on google, I finally caved and had enough and now I have to take up storage space on my phone because Reddit will NOT LET YOU freely browse the website.. why even have a website at this point? Seriously just make it an app.. what is wrong with you guys?
DUO SUPPORT— Swipe up to view comments is gone
Comically bad decision. App is even less usable than before And the latest update broke videos. None of the videos play anymore. And poor support for Duo! Do a proper update.
Purposely made the site not work on mobile
Forced down your throat. Reddit doesn’t want you using the browser on your phone. They will block half the page every time you start reading anything until you use their garbage bloated battery hog of an app so they can steal more data about you
App useless
Worst flow being forced to download to continue reading article. Then having to re search using app not being able to find same article. Just let us read online, app is unnecessary.
Videos won’t play anymore
This app stinks. Apollo was so much better.
The ads
Are needed, but make them more obvious. Stop with the fake post nonsense. Also, stop making me download the app to read the web. You're not that critical to humanity.
Terrible
Stop changing features like swipe to collapse comments. No one asked for this
Home algorithm sucks
Why on earth would I want the algorithm to shove a 30 day old post on my feed?
THIS APP IS TRASHHHHHHHH
F.F.S!!!!!! Fixxxx your damn karma BS!! I have made 8 comments on a post and APPARENTLY I don’t have enough “karma” to chat on ANY damn post… How Tf am I supposed to build it up if I can’t comment on 90% of the post I follow?!! Like yall have the WORST ideas I swear 🙄 who creates something like that?? I have a question to ask or I have an answer to someones question and I can’t answer because I “DoNt HaVe EnOuGh KaRmA”… I absolutely HATEEE this app! Its literally no point of having it if you can’t comment. I just been on it for a few weeks recently and COMMENTED 7 FREAKING TIMESSS ANDD GUESSSSSS?!! MY COMMENT WAS REMOVED BECAUSE APPARENTLY I DONT HAVE “ENOUGH” KARMA!!! Holy hell!! I’ve had this freak app for over a yr, I USEDD to be able to comment and post but now.. I can’t do jack ish.. This app is so trash
Continued accessibility issues
For VoiceOver users: • the more button to expand posts can't be selected with VoiceOver. • Posts with videos and tables have gaps where you can't read the content, despite knowing the post is longer when you view it in a web browser. • no report a bug section for accessibility
Making your safari on iOS experience worse to force people here won’t work
Bad app shady tactics !
Too bad for new users
Many friends says new users very easy to be banned, the community bot is very stupid and unfriendly for new users, the financial report is also sxxk
Data Harvesting
Reddit is one of the most aggressive and deceptive data harvesting social media apps that exists. Shame on this company for bidding to hundreds of advertisers and making you the product.
Garbage Company
Forcing people to download app and blocking them from using browser. Will never use your platform again rot in h3!!
UI slop
New comment box is unusable. Reddit seems to be in a UI race to the bottom with YouTube.
Worst App Ever
I’ve been trying to delete this worthless Reddit account for several weeks without success. No one to assist you… Know if you open an account there is zero support it getting the account closed.
I don’t want the app
The app adds nothing to my life and just aggravates me. I want to causally browse Reddit in my browser on occasion, not download a bloated and slow app with confusing UI. But I can’t read a single thing online without the stupid app!
Crashes
Glitches but you have to have the app since they nuked the mobile browser site.
No free speech
Anything you say about something “Jewish” they automatically assume antisemitism or hate speech even when you are not saying anything bad at all and just pointing out a fact. Better off on twitter/X.
App vs web
I hate how Reddit forces the app instead of just letting me stay on the web page.
Most annoying app out there
You have no freedom of speech and Reddit bans you for the littlest things.
Total heckin chungus
Default sorts comments by new. Le orange guy bad.
it could be better
it works well enough most of the time, but i can’t stand the fact that the ads look like posts. i don’t care that there is ads, most social media apps have ads. my issue is with the way reddit presents them as if they’re a real post. they’re almost indistinguishable from real posts during a scroll minus the tiny little text that says “Ad” next to it, it’s very easy to not see while scrolling. i report the ads as misleading. because i was misled into believing it was a post for a second.
Wow such empty
I’m still getting this silly error on my phone daily. Every update never fixes it.
Reply function nearly unusable
The latest update has the text input area hidden at the bottom of the screen even while I’m typing, and I’m only able to pull the reply panel up where I can see it about 30% of the time. So, you made the app basically unusable to me. This sucks, Reddit can be such a good resource but then you went and broke it.
More than 10% ads
I’ve been counting the number of ad posts per community post and it’s awful! My reviews never seem to stick despite this site getting worse and worse. Terrible update after another leaving consumers behind. What alternatives are there?!
Doesn’t support Duo
Pretty annoying that this doesn’t support the Duo but the Reddit website won’t let you use it on mobile and pushes you to the app.
Misleading ads
I cannot stand an app whose ads look like a regular post. I don’t want to click on a link unless I know I’m clicking on it, but Reddit makes the word “ad” so tiny that I can barely see it. If your ad isn’t worth clicking on, it’s your fault not the customers. Waste of my time, waste of every reddit users time because if I’m mislead into clicking an AD there’s no way in HELL I’d ever purchase something from it. Reddit just does this to spite its users and I’m not impressed.
Not a place for truth
Reddit used to be a place for real discussion and debate. Now, if you have a different opinion than a “moderator” you are immediately banned from any kind of discussion. Reddit truly has devolved into a hive mind alternate reality that doesn’t allow any kind of free thinking. I’m very disappointed in what Reddit has become. Don’t waste your time here.
App requirement = low rating
I have corporate-managed devices and want to occasionally use reddit and not being able to use an app but make it a requirement is a total usability issue. Some people HATE apps and just want to use a site. I know you can probably sign in on the site etc but just let it be and let the data flow on a mobile browser.
Inexcusable AI
I’m not giving it a one star review because it’s shoving a proprietary AI down your throat, I’m giving it a one star review because it is without a doubt the dumbest AI I’ve ever encountered. Its responsible for showing you “trending” topics and very often most if not all of the “trending” topics it shows you are either nonexistent or happened years ago, but presented in a way that makes it seem like it’s a huge topic on Reddit right now. Don’t even bother trying to ask it questions, it can’t understand anything and will give you irrelevant or wrong information anyway.
Dude fix the app
Every other “new feature” they add to this app breaks it. Today it’s “add your thoughts” shortcut on every post but you have to close the whole app just to go into a post regularly!
Full of bugs
Reddit as a company and service sucks but there’s no alternative
Dogwater
Absolute garbage. Invasive tracking, manipulating your eyesight, destroying our democracy for the profit of a handful of skeevemeisters. On top of that, it's full of pornography.
Reddit is a joke
Reddit was amazing until a few years back when they locked it all down. Ever since it has been absolute garbage. Find another platform.
