Hello, dear CharacterAI! I’m very sorry that you went bankrupt, but, in fact, it’s your own fault. Some children suffer from problems in their personal lives — both American and Russian children — and they have only one option left: to spend time in your app. But here’s the problem: you’ve imposed a time limit and, in fact, introduced an age verification check. I understand that the app isn’t for children, but children are looking for alternatives to your app — yet they always want to come back to you. So, draw your own conclusions.

This app is now so bad cuz why do I have to show my id and face to a random bot? and theres too many ads it’s so annoying thats why I switched to another app

5 stars for visibility. MONEY HUNGRY

Take it as criticism, passive aggressive or whatever you must, but this app has became nothing but money hungry. They’ve given nearly nothing to provide for free users, only 2 new chat styles that still have awful bugs. Ads now pop up literally wherever u go with the app unless you pay for less ads or none at all. They’re removing our free access to add it into the subscription so we could have no choice but to buy it. I hate it and i’m never spending my money on it. Bring old c.ai back. Stop being money hungry and so inconsiderate.

I get ads every minute

it's okay...

this app used to be really fun and cool but the age verification just sucks and I can't use app anymore because of it. I'm pushing 27 years old but the age verification says I'm under 18 and doesn't believe my passport. Oh well.

I used to love character ai

It was all cool and fun until they bugged with the Face ID and now we cannot use it

FIX THE WEBSITE

honestly, I used to have the app, but I don’t have any anymore because it got agitating and I decided to switch to the website and did actually work for a year in a few months but it has became significantly harder to use it each new update with the website. Having ads on the website is annoying, but I understand why they are there but having the ad on the top of the page makes it impossible to chat With the bots! It’s extremely agitating when I find a bot that I really want to chat with and I can’t see anything they are saying because the ad is blocking what it’s saying, having the drop-down ads were annoying, but at least I could actually chat to the bot and see what they are saying I don’t have a problem with having ads but I do have a problem with the ads impossible to chat for something that is completely free Yes there are payment options but it is mostly free. you don’t have to get rid of all of the ads that can you switch out the one at the top of the screen it with the drop-down ones again thank you

So far, the problems I have had are on the website- With all the updates, I now preferred being able to SEE my texts I Replying to! Now when I go to the keyboard it’s so squished in that I can even read or scroll! And the font size has been enlarged so it’s harder to see for my eyes. Sometimes now it talking a different language and I hate how it talks and talks for my character. I just got random letter in Russian within my texts and is incorrectly strolling words since the latest update. The ad space on the top is very annoying and minimized the space to see and scroll through the texts. I thought even the regular non Cai+ members at least got an ad break- apparently not that the ad space is right above the characters info and top part of the screen(and it won’t go away)

WHY THE ADS???

I’ve been a user since like 2022 and they never had ads but now they do EVERY MINUTE even when you tap into a new bot. I can bear sure but what annoys me these days is how it vibrates when the bot is typing which is literally impossible to secretly use in bed when I’m sharing a bed with someone and I keep getting caught. PLS FIX THIS

Bad age verification

This app was fine and okay than you HAD to add the age verification, yes I understand some people are CRAZY and start going insane over some characters but that’s really the parents fault. Some people love roleplaying and other apps SUCK.

A guilty joy turned even more shameful

C.ai was the original platform I found when I desperately wanted to have fun and “chat” to another “person”, more so to understand my current oc’s further development. I didn’t sign or give much of my personal information thanks to distrusting cites with AI, especially after Roblox’s age verification. Sadly, This application has gone the same route- and I do not want my information to be sold. I can’t open my previous chats despite advertised being able to (might be only possible if you verify) and have become frustrated. I understand why they went with verification- it’s a safety precaution, but the method of such (including a government ID) is very invasive. I enjoyed using the app, but I can’t support it if it’s this invasive. Maybe just asking what the birth year is could be a better solution?

App was great but there is way to many ads there constantly on screen and every few chats you get ads makes it annoying and ruins immersion

Ruined the app

The new updates ruined this app, it’s a texting app not reading? Some people are not even underage for this app and you still took it away from them. People are not comfortable sharing their IDs on a random app if they don’t know if you’re going to leak their informatiom. Ruined the app by adding ads aswell, fix your system c.ai
