Reporting feature

I have to assume TikTok uses some sort of AI to sort through reports because of the fact that you cannot type out the problem you could be having. The categories to choose from are not helpful in most circumstances. I’ve found several accounts that are actively taking content from other people on other platforms and re uploading it as their own, completely impersonating the OG creator. Not to mention that in some cases the OG creators don’t always use TikTok. How is the impersonation option useful at all if I have to tag the creator they’re stealing from and they don’t use the app? That’s not been thought out.

Effects and filters

What happened to the effects and filters on the sidebar? I have a theme going with my videos using both and now can’t keep them going. Something so simple that we ALL use and you take them away? I love TikTok, especially #booktok. What makes me crazy though are the emails saying “so and so sent a message” (no they didn’t, they commented) and then more saying “they are waiting for a response”. Let them wait. Most are spam/scam accounts looking for money for fake services. There is no way to report these people because their accounts look real and then we get flagged for false reporting. Also by pushing us to get back on to the app, you are promoting social media addiction. Let us use the damned app the way WE want to! If I was a teen or someone who was trying to cut my social time down, you make it seem like we have to jump back on or else that “important message” will make us look bad. Who cares? I personally don’t answer DMs from those I don’t know. Even in my business accounts. Again mostly scammers. When I DO look at my messages? They are all sales pitches. I had more than 15 alone just yesterday. Such a waste of my time to go in, delete and block these people. So again, stop the pushing. Let us do us. Stop pushing an addiction for your agenda.

Unskippable Ad

TikTok was a fun app until now. There’s an unskippable ad that pops out outta nowhere unprompted (survey for cash) and it gives you 2 options: 1 to participate and 2 is to decline. Funny thing is the decline option doesn’t not work but the 1st option always works. I have to force quit the app everytime in order to continue using the app. Forcing ads like that is insane.

Tired of ads tired of fake pages

I’m so freaking tired of ads. It seems like every other video it’s an ad. I’m so tired of TikTok shop posts too like there’s no original content anymore. Everyone is just trying to sell something. I’m also tired of fake pages like the fact that you allow people to steal other people‘s content and just post it like it’s their own is absolutely sickening to me. Like why are some of my favorite creators. I’m seeing a bunch of fake pages AI slot pages stealing your content. I’m tired of it. Then on top of that too, you don’t let people make any real money off of the app as soon as they have a viral post they have a lot of views/followers etc you find some reason to ban their account so you don’t have to pay them. And some of the ads are deeply disturbing, like the weird games that are triggering to people with phobias and everytime I block the page posting the ads or say I’m not interested you send more it’s aggressive as hell. Like at this point TikTok could’ve really stayed banned.

Translation not working

Noticed from the last few months, the translation feature hasn’t been working on videos/captions/comments. This is very frustrating because for an app/community that thrives communicating across all language barrier, this has limited how I am able to interact with other users. I hope that this is a bug that needs to be fixed, and not a very important feature that’s being taken away.

Okay so my friend his name is Ted for some reason his dms or messages–whatever theyre called, they’re restricted and now cant message anyone. Ive had this same issue happen with many of my friends and theyve never gotten their messaging privileges back. Im rating one star because these friends of mine have not done anything wrong and got themselves suspended because your stupid app thinks that they’re underage when theyre 20+ years old. This is ridiculous. Even when they try to get unrestricted, they are unable to because tiktok thinks they’re underage so how does that work HUH. Fix your app fr.

The support service is disappointing as well as not completely solving the problem I sent the request, when I continue to send the support request, it seems that I only receive the problem being considered, the experience is not very smooth, many times the end of supporting my request, I have sent it by email to request support but it seems to be just an irresponsible push

Tik tok sucks too much?

It’s not letting me do anything!

So I’ve used this app for approximately 3 years now, I am of age to use (16) and every time I open TikTok it says “minimus age requirement not met” and I AM of age but I took a selfie and it said I’m not, and now when I try to open it too upload an id, it says minimus age not met, and there is 2 options, 1: delete account. 2: keep account. And obviously I press keep account, but when I click on the screen it doesn’t respond to anything, so I click keep account and it doesn’t do anything, and I don’t want my TikTok deleted because I am followed by famous creators, (my TikTok account is: San Marino Mason) so please do SOMETHING before November when it deletes my account, it is making my frustrated because I can’t do anything about it, I can’t even sign into another account. Please do something
