I was going through all of my recordings that I needed for custody court and were my proof to help get my son back and the next second, they all disappeared and the app won’t stay open on my phone now.So I am very unhappy with this and now I don’t know what to do..

Can’t save trimmed recordings

Based on reviews, this is a bug that started with an update about a year ago. The app hasn’t been updated in the past year and so this bug is still present. If you trim a recording, you won’t be able to save it.

Don’t download this app, it says it’s free but it is not, so it is a lie and a con.

Editing issues

Recording function is pretty good but it doesn’t all to edit and save. Some bug they need to fix. I even started the monthly subscription (after having purchased it earlier) still can’t edit n save. No help from developers!

Google Drive cloud not functional

I so so so want to give this app 5 stars. It’s great. Unfortunately, one core function I need is to be able to integrate it with my Google Drive, and I can’t. I get an error message from Google telling me the app is attempting to access sensitive information and is blocked from my Google Drive account. Either the app is up to something sketchy, or there’s something else preventing it from syncing with my Drive. Either way, it means I won’t be able to use this app as is.

Stopped working, no support

I’ve used this app for years, I even paid for it back in the day when it wasn’t subscription. The app won’t open anymore so I lost all my recordings, luckily I had it saved on my cloud because it was synced. Look elsewhere!

Customer support non existent

I was happy with the recording quality of the app but the backup function did not work and, what is worse, there is no way to contact customer support. They do not respond to emails, and the websites contact form leads to an error message. Use something else for important calls

Inappropriate ads

The record and playback functions work well. To get a text transcript, you have to pay a fee. The biggest issue is playback shows inappropriate ads with scantily clad people. No other app or browser gives me these types of ads, because I stay away from that type of content. There is no way to say I don’t like this type of ad, or this ad is offensive. For this reason, I’m going elsewhere for a recorder

Glitchy editing

This records fine but you’re better off using the free recorder with the iPhone memo. Try trimming a recording in this app and it will randomly edit the recording rather than what you have selected. Straight up garbage

No longer works

I have been using this app for many years and always loved it until recently. Now, it’s filled with ads and the recordings will not pick up voices at all. It’s not my device because every other app can pick up voice.

Sexual Ads

Love this app, but hate the ads. They are very sexualized and it’s disturbing.

Restricting for no reason

I conduct business and record calls at times for notetaking and summary this app consistently guards what it will and will not do example. I just had a call where I’m talking about mining and minerals. I wanted to summarize the call and it told me it could not do it because it’s talking about mining and minerals, which is ridiculous. This is just one example. I would advise to stay away from this app and I requesting my money back because it’s useless at this point.

Beware of your recording automatically disappearing!!

I am extremely disappointed in this product. I first had a 5 day free trial and then was automatically charged for a monthly subscription. I would not have minded that except that a very important 3 hour recording was automatically deleted. I send two emails to customer support and never heard back. I’d give them a zero rating if I could.

Bug fixes

I love this app but I keep getting a notification that says “no speech detected” and I genuinely don’t know what to do.

Support needed

I upgraded to include transcription. One of my files (EPPP) has 8 folders in it. Each folder had multiple recordings. Three recordings in one of the folders have been transcribed. ALL of the recordings and transcriptions in this file have been deleted. I have other, multiple files with multiple recordings none of which have been deleted. I’m not sure what has happened but am needing this content to be recovered. Lost Recordings

Many times I have sent a recording to someone only for it to be a recording from the previous week. Now, today’s recording has just disappeared. Frustrating.

Used to be good

This used to be a great app, but over the last few months it has failed to save my recordings. Although the title of the audio file is there, it has zero bytes and the recording is lost. I’ve had to explore other options as this app is no longer reliable

Won’t download based all the bad reviews

Clearly this WAS a good app. Reviews were good years ago but now it’s all negative, glitchy, losing recordings etc, so great as it initially sounded I’m not going to waste my money. Why don’t these app firms monitor reviews?

Terrible

I have been recording for 30 Min pressed stop and save as….but the file just disappeared and nowhere to be seen. What a waste of time!

okay, buggy

first of all i purchased this app a while ago and use it from time to time. even though it was purchased i see outside ads and ads that say to get rid of the add i just need to pay $4.99 a month. you get other apps too for that price but i didn’t buy and dont want the other apps, so its $60/year to get rid of the ads for one recording app. also, several times i’ve made a recording and it sort of disappears. did one for 10 min yesterday but only said 10 sec recorded though it would somehow play. this morning it shows the correct length. frustrating when worried about whether you got the audio or not.

If you would like to do anything else special ha ha you’ll have to pay four dollars every time this is a waste of time just keep the Voice Memos app. I was trying to do an overlapping thing like it said it could do, but no, it just lied all advertisement.

Used to be great

I used this for years but now it’s over complicated and doesn’t work on my iphone14 Keeps insisting I stop recording when I’m not recording.

Garbage!

I had an old version that worked well. I downloaded the current version on my new phone, and recorded a conversation. When I went back to review, the recording has been uploaded to the cloud and I can not retrieve it.

Important recording lost

I have lost all of my recording after this app update even I have configured to save on the cloud , sent several emails to the support team , haven’t yet reviewed a single response ; as there were very important recording @ support team please reply ??

Can’t transcribe

Paid for the upgrade to transcribe but it doesn’t work. Have followed the support guidance with no result. Tried to send a message to support and it said won’t send url not recognised. Very frustrating

Says it’s recording, asked me for a file name to save it and now it says there’s no recording

Hi there, a large amount of my files from the Voice Recorder app have disappeared. They are not in my iCloud my Google Drive or any of my previous phones. I don’t know how to find them again. Please advise. I tried to contact you on the tap media.co.UK site but it goes to a broken link

Gone horribly wrong

This used to be a great app and I have used it to record lots of stuff for work and for personal use (so I have lots of experience of how it works). I decided to try the upgrade to Pro . . . And it is a nightmare. I am completely furious and let-down. I recorded an important conversation with my medical consultant and all was working during the call. But afterwards, the recording suddenly vanished. The file is still there, and titled, but it has zero bytes in it. It has a cloud symbol next to it (suggesting that the recording might have been moved to the cloud - even though i didn’t ask for that) but when I click this, absolutely nothing happens. So a vital recording has has been lost by the app. Unbelievable! I will never use this app again, as it can no longer be trusted. Extremely annoying and disappointing.
