I feel this app just makes random info up regarding your “subscriptions” then makes you feel good when you “cancel” it. I would not recommend this app to anyone.

Irony

The app to help you save money and keep track of subscriptions.. forces a subscription. It also has you go through the entire process of making an account and linking it to your bank account just to say “oh and also you have to pay money”. Thank you for this terrible app design, so now I have to spend more of my morning unlinking everything.

Shows same bill 50x

I wanted to like this app. But it's so buggy it shows my car payment 50x in a single month! How ridiculous. Uninstalling and never installing again no matter how much you spam me with your annoying ads!

This app is terrible

I love when I go on a mobile app on my phone and it tells me there was an error trying to connect me that I need to go to a different browser but then when I do that nothing happens why even have an app if you’re gonna have things like this keeping people from making an account

Useful but have to pay

Downloaded the app to help see where my money was going and budget. The free version works fine but only lets you sent 2 budget categories other than bills and utilities. I wanted to make specific categories for my money, to do that I would have to pay a subscription. The ads also say that the app will cancel unwanted subscription for you. This is only an option if you pay. I think it’s kinda hypocritical of the app to offer to save you money then charge you to do the main thing they advertise. I still use the app for budgeting but fell like the free option should allow for more categories.

Trying to help you organize your money when you have to spend money to use the app, it used to be free but now it’s not

No use anymore

I have other better apps that can track my finances. When I started this app, I learn very basic and use for a month. I decided to move on. I canceled my subscription on that app. A few months later, it’s still keep subscription me. I’m surprised why they are doing it. I reported to cancel it.

AI Slop that is barely functioning

Don’t bother. The Ai help bot is useless and they only connect to a limited number of cards/accounts. Probably safer to not allow them to have your data to begin with. Rocket money has the opportunity to do better and they choose to produce such a disappointing product.

Unable to cancel membership without PAYING!

I signed up for the free trial of this app, I didn’t get any notice when I was going to get charged for this service. I deleted the app and got charged… I tried to install the app again on my phone to cancel this membership I don’t use at all… and it won’t let me download the app without PAYING money!! Why can’t I install this so called free app?! Just to cancel a membership…

Stole my money

I had a savings goal to save up for a car, but ended up deleting it early because i had a loan and the money was coming straight out of my checking account automatically to pay for my loan. the app said the savings goal would stop taking money from my account but it was continuing to take various amounts from my checking account for a month. i tried to talk to a representative but they only had an ai on the app and when they ai finally connected me with a real person i waited three days for them to text me (they don't have a phone number, just the chat feature) and they never did. thankfully my bank got my money back, but i did not trust the app afterwards and immediately deleted it

Absolutely horrible

The bill negotiation tool is an absolute scam. The amount they claimed to be able to reduce my bill to is not even accurate and they are still wanting to overcharge me. Support refuses to respond, so figured this was my next course of action. This is a company that profits off of your selling your data

Does not sync

Have had issues for months with transactions not syncing and they don’t offer a fix. Make sure to double check they sync otherwise you may be spending way more than you realize!

Barely works

Doesn’t even cancel stuff you need canceled it barely can cuz it’s small search first thing I want out they can’t cancel.

Needs work

It doesn’t actually make it easy to track spending. It drops transactions completely and most of the time I couldn’t get them back. Whatever they use to recognize a transaction and categorize it appropriately does not work well. If you lose the connection to an account, when you reconnect it, it just duplicates all the transactions that were already in there and you can’t delete a transaction that is duplicated, you can only “ignore” it. It really needs a function where you can import transactions from a spreadsheet (csv or something). The manual adding of transactions is not helpful because there’s no way to attach it to the account it should be on! It’s just a mess in so many ways. I will say that customer service tries to be helpful. They often couldn’t solve the problem, but it really seemed like they tried and/or wanted to.

I signed up for the free version (not the free trial, the entirely free version), it told me I signed up for the free version, then charged me premium prices and it took money out of my account that I didn’t consent to paying

Hidden fees and charges!

Do not use this app! There are no actual humans you can talk to you no phone number and I just discovered even after canceling my membership. I have two years worth of charges at $3.27 randomly and I still to date cannot get someone to help me cancel this or get these charges off. I’m literally having to contact the credit card companies and or go through legal matters again. Do not use this app!! they are so unhelpful and basically you’re talking to robots there’s not even a human available!!! if you are using them or canceled them, check your credit cards to make sure you’re not getting charged hidden fees that you aren’t even aware of!!! so frustrating!

The ads heavily oversell it

I’ve had this app for several years (since it was still called Truebill), and it works well for general money management and budget tracking, but the features that are heavily advertised just don’t work. Every time I’ve tried to cancel a subscription through the app, I get an error. It keeps counting cancelled subscriptions as active, and the categorization is a mess. It even missed a subscription I had been double paying for for several months (I ended up finding that out on my own through my bank account). I keep using it because I was grandfathered in at a lower subscription price, but I probably wouldn’t use it if it wasn’t so cheap.

Great program, terrible customer support

The program itself is very useful and works well. I had issues accessing my old account and cancel my premium subscription associated with it. I lost access to the relevant email. I tried contacting the online customer support multiple times. They kept not understanding my issue or giving me solutions that REQUIRED the email I cannot access. A phone line is need. Enough AI support and overworked chat representatives.

You have to find your subscriptions and cancel them one by one the plus you have to subscribe to this app and it doesn’t even do what it says it does very useless app for sure!

I am officially canceling my subscription. I created this account solely for the Bill Negotiations feature. Moving it behind an exclusive Premium+ paywall and fluffing up the tier with AI tools is pure corporate greed. The bill negotiation was the only feature truly worth paying a subscription for in the first place. Every other "tool" Rocket Money offers—basic budgeting, tracking subscriptions, and setting goals—can be done better elsewhere on other platforms completely for free. I refuse to pay a monthly premium just for the privilege of letting you negotiate a single bill at a time. Shifting the goalposts like this is a terrible way to treat users. As a little tip for anyone else leaving: when you go to cancel, the app will literally beg you to stay by offering a discounted rate of $2.99 a month. But who would want to pay even $2.99 a month for a service that just took away the entire purpose of having the app in the first place? Absolute joke. Goodbye.

Scam

Seems great but they help you cancel subscriptions yet charge you a subscription fee. Hard to cancel. Always trying to upgrade your account. I never upgraded and they still cant figure out why they are charging me every month. They don’t know their own subscription system and they are supposed to help with subscriptions

Its Crazy that I give them money every month and still the number one ad i see. Ive seen 6 in the past hour. Im no expert on ad cost but i know it ain’t cheap. The more ads i see from a company the less i want to give them money..
