FAMILIES | TalkingPoints — Notifications are awful Notifications do not persist and I am consistently missing important communication from my kids teachers. Had to switch to text messages to ensure I get my messages.
Strong complaintMissing featureFAMILIES | TalkingPoints — Infuriating program Always having troubles, won’t let you login at times. Trying to get help with that takes forever, and on top of that it’s absolutely annoying that you open the app and it disabled any type of sound you have on your phone. Seriously hate that my school uses this.
Frustrated…h all the verification every single time. It’s a waste and obnoxious. I wish the school didn’t use this busted app. It worked all last year fine, but this summer it has started to constantly glitch. It’s a trash app.
Wishes it existedFAMILIES | TalkingPoints — Annoying — The app constantly logs me out and then sends me text messages. Three texts ding one after the other for a single message from a teacher. I silence my app notifications for a reason. The texts bypass that preference.
Frustrated…essages when I delete the app and then have to reinstall it to reply. It makes so much extra work for parents and I wish schools would stop using this app.

Questions about this idea
- Is Unreliable school communication app causing extra parent work a startup idea?
- Not directly. These are complaints about a product or service people already use, and the fix belongs first to that provider. The page shows what is frustrating users and how badly — not an open market to start a company in.
- How many people have this problem?
- 6 different people described it independently, in 6 mentions, the earliest from 15 Apr 2025 and the most recent from 30 Oct 2026. The quotes, with dates and links to the originals, are in the Evidence section.
- Is this problem getting worse?
- Status: steady — no change the counts can show. 2 people raised it in the last 30 days and 0 in the 30 days before; the status compares its share of everything collected from the same source, so collecting more or less cannot create a trend.
