Horrible Efficiency

This app is 110% the reason that data centers exist… My phone goes off with an alert for an email. I click on the alert for the email. The email opens with a link to the app. I click the link to open the app. The message in the app then requires that you click on it to view the message. Instead of expanding the message when I click on it, the web browser then opens and wants me to save a file. I then save a file, have to locate where it is saved and open it just to read a message that would have come across as an email 6 months ago…. No thank you.

Logs out if you click on the notification

Everytime I click on a notification, it logs me out and makes me sign in again, its so annoying.

So annoying nothing is simplified, takes a bunch of clicks to one thing. Could be a lot more simplified.

Glitchy

Fix the bugs. Always asks me to reload. I have to uninstall and reinstall to fix and it’s just a temporary fix.

Glitches on the app

The application Workst and within the hour it blocked me out, and it says that I am not an authorized us This happens consistently all day long. I have to re-downloaded every single time I’ve been having this issue from the very first day. It’s been over two weeks and the issue is it’s not result. It’s very inconvenient and difficult for me to keep up with school announcements because of having no access.

When logging-Error occurred

When opening the app it keeps flashing. A BIG inconvenience. You’re not always home to use your computer. Deleted app. Redownloaded app. Continues to do the same thing!

Very slow and difficult to use

The school switched to this app from class dojo. Dojo was fast and easy to find and message a teacher. This app has taken up to 5 hours to load an announcement, lots of error messages. Messages and teachers show for wrong child until reloaded several times.

Not user friendly

Our district moved to this application and it is much less effective and not as flexible as previous apps and ways of communicating. Items get buried and the search function is horrific. Even when you try to separate via class, etc, it does’t filter correctly. Also difficult to find and keep records of items.

Slow to load new content. convoluted USABILITY and UX. Can’t give any thumbs up to let the teachers know we saw the message. That’s not really a heavy lift to add as a feature. The talking points apps is much better!

Terrible compared to ClassTag

This app is used by our daycare after switching from the class tag Unfortunately, we don’t have any saying in the matter, but it’s a pretty terrible application on a parental side. One of our first frustrations with the application is downloading pictures. Videos are sometimes sent out by your school throughout the day with pictures of our children. One class tag, it was easy enough just to click download. On this app, you download and then it opens into Safari and you download it from Safari in a six step process. Needless to say, I easily have far or less pictures of our little ones growing up now and their experiences because it’s just that much more time-consuming to do. Messaging is much more limited. It’s a silly thing, but we used to be able to at least do some basic reactions to posts with a thumbs up, heart, etc. Now, that’s just not possible as a result, it’s a less personable app. Our daycare is also run into a restriction for messaging posts. I don’t know the specifics, but apparently they’re limited to 15 people. As a result, some parents have to select who they’re going to use as a contact. To get around this, our local Daycare has then been forming a simple SMS text chat. All and all, I am not happy with this application at all, and I can’t wait for a different one in the future

Used to be so much better

Given classes have more than 15 students ( and each student having two parents) the max of 15 recipients now makes this application useless for group communication between parents. Also, there needs to be a way to look at the full class list and check off a bunch of names at the same time; instead you have to type each child's name one by one in the search box.

Unusable

My kid’s teacher from a couple years ago used ClassTag. Now, his new teacher uses it- except this app won’t let me sign into my old account, or create a new one with my email or phone number because they are associated with my old account. This means I’d have to create a new email or get a new phone number just to use the app. Absolutely ridiculous.

App loses messages while typing them

First, let me say that I love the idea of this app, and it is helpful for the school to communicate messages to parents. However, the app itself is buggy and frustrating. It is constantly refreshing content and reloading itself and losing the place of whatever I was reading, or worse, writing. It is very frustrating to be composing a message to the school or a teacher only to have the app do a refresh or reload and simply lose whatever you've typed. It is so bad that I have taken to composing in a notes app and then copy/pasting into the app as a workaround.

Great app

I’m not getting notifications, which is kind of annoying. And there’s way too many adds.

Constantly crashing

This app was ok, now the app is constantly crashing. It’s extremely annoying

No Communication

We’ve been using this app all year to communicate with parents, and it has worked fairly successfully. Today, however, the school has shut down and we were relying on ClassTag to communicate ESSENTIAL information to parents as we transition to remote learning, including the locations and times of breakfast and lunch distribution. ClassTag utterly failed, leaving families without food. Moreover, I tried all day to contact someone from ClassTag and could not get through. A company that is in the communication business that refuses to communicate with customers deserves the lowest possible rating. I wish I could leave zero stars.

Naming group chats?

It would be awesome if you could name group chats on the app. Please add this feature!

Disappointed in classtag

Not pleased with the app. Have to go back in order to view new messages. Rewards are always sold out too quickly.

Trash

The new update is awful. Makes everything so much harder than it needs to be.

Useless for a parent.

We have 2 kids in different schools. One uses Dojo and one uses classtag. Dojo is great. Classtag is terrible.
