And very difficult to cancel subscription. It refused to cancel on the app and told me to cancel it here.

Very hard to use, no instructions, error, messages, coming up with no explanation. so far, not impressed with the app. I was thinking about purchasing it but not anymore.

Scan Guru advertised a free trial but then charged high, undisclosed, and recurring subscription fees. I canceled the application before the 7‑day trial ended—specifically on 03/02/2026—and I have a screenshot confirming the cancellation. Despite canceling on time, I was still charged, and I am now being billed for an additional week even though the subscription period ended on 03/19. These charges were not authorized, and the renewal terms were not clearly disclosed. I am requesting a full review of this issue and a refund for all improper or misleadingly obtained fees.

Tried using your system and nothing but blank came up on my phone. It then that I canceled my subscription. No contact information to help me.

Felt scammed

I downloaded product 22 November not realizing I had started free trial and when I did go to use app they charged me on December with button set on free trial like I had never activated it so I used thinking I’d have week try out product and instead was charged. I can say it worked well enough for my reason I got it but free trial after expiring I probably would not have charges if practice wasn’t deceptive.

Don’t download this app

I cancelled the free trial on the day I subscribed but the app billed me anyway a few days later as well as an additional in app purchase that I didn’t make.

Unacceptable

Charged me 25 when it was supposed to be free trial for 7 days . They charged me the 25 the first 5 mins I canceled it the first day still got charged absolutely unacceptable. Negative stars from me!!!!!!

Scanner translation errors

For some reason the app will translate to text incorrectly, such as, changing the word DireWolves to DISHCLOTHES, when the word DireWolves is written clearly. Also the scanning to change the text will say complete them says, sorry I can’t complete that request. And it also gives a try again logo for pages that I have to exit the app and refresh it before going back into the app for it to work

I wish it was free

It lets you scan a few documents and then you won’t be able to do anything without paying

Canceling

Been trying to cancel FREE trial for 3 days and account is still activate. I want a refund !

Disappointing

Keeps trying to force you into paid version. Can’t get it to work at all. Does anyone actually test these apps to see if they work for someone who doesn’t already know how to use them?

App Cancel Method

Absolutely Shameful! Their cancellation method is so tricky that you would not be able to find it easily. When you go to Settings > Cancel my Subscription > you would not be able to do so. They are saying go to App Store & once you are there. You would not be able to find it.

I would scan the documents and turn it into a word document and it wouldn’t upload correctly.

Canceling is difficult

Don’t use this app unless you want to waste time trying to cancel the subscription once you’re done with it. You go to cancel and it says to go to the App Store but no further instruction.

Do not install! very misleading information. You are offered a seven day free trial. They made canceling the subscription extremely difficult.

This app is not easy to use. It also will not scan all of the documents correctly. And then when you go to cancel they give you the run around to make it difficult to cancel..

PDF converter

I purchased the year subscription so that option didn’t give me the week trial option but I said if it does at least one of the two popular features it’s worth it well guess what it doesn’t do either I tried every which way possible I tried converting a pdf to word to edit and it is so distorted that it doesn’t come out correctly it or it says error and the same for the handwrite to text option and I printed with a black pen on a sticky note like in ad and it wouldn’t convert I tried just a few words on a letter size paper nothing kept saying error now I have the latest iPhone 15 with the latest version iOS to date and it still not working and I canceled my subscription the same day I purchased hoping to refund my year price I paid bc it’s horrible I can do everything already on my one drive and my google drive and I don’t need to do those features already for a price that’s free thru them. Any suggestions?

You keep taking my money and there is no way to unsubscribe and I have never used the app . VERY ANNOYING . Wouldn’t even give it a star . Needs to be minus 5star

Should take one time yearly payment.Lots of other options available which are either free or very cheap to subscribe.

Complete fail

I had 2 letters that our mother’s hand wrote. We needed them turned into typed letters. Scanned both letter just fine. But the transfer to text were complete fails!! 1-3 words per line (when shared to computer), words were jumbled together and also parsed into fractions of the word. Can not state how disappointed in a waste of $6.75! Cancelled same day!!

Don’t get this app

Messed up my phone camera the first time I tried to use the app. All I have is a black screen now. Went on app to cancel, and told me that I had to go to the app store. Nothing to tell me how to cancel subscription

$6.99. Per week! Exorbitantly expensive for an app that is only needed once a while. Deleted it right away and bought myself a 3 in one printer scanner instead, much more value for money.

Downloaded this app for the trial, deleted it when I found it no use. Have not had the app for at least a year and just realised that I have been charged $11.49 per week this whole time… Maybe I should have done a little more research, but I guess these types of apps are developed for this reason, to take money
