Buggy for ID verification

In attempting to designate my iPhone and iPad as trusted devices, the app asks to scan images of my ID, but the app fails in different ways depending on whether it’s on the iPhone or iPad. On the iPhone, I can never get to the point of scanning my ID because the app says the screen is obscured when it isn’t. On the iPad, I do get to scanning my ID, but upon taking the required selfie, the app suddenly quits. This is an extremely buggy program.

Worst ever app experience

Whenever trying to open the app , keep asking to verify either passport or drivers license. After successfully verified, the next day or week again same request. Sick and tired of updating the same information for each time you use the app????

Cheque deposit doesn’t work

I’ve been trying to deposit a CAN cheque (residing in US) for months! The error message cites to make sure it’s under a well lit back ground .. blah blah blah. I’ve done every thing correctly! It’s infuriating. This app is trash.

Latest update causes crash on iOS 26.4

The latest app update causes crash the app to crash immediately on launch. It’s ridiculous that their devs aren’t checking crash logs and submitting fixes. This is literally the latest iOS version….

Check depositing does not work

Impossible to deposit a check. The bank representatives are denying the problem

Hypersensitive lock up

Locks up on everything. Can’t even pay my bills. Needs phone support every time. Worst of all the big five banks for apps. Calling undoes the purpose of online banking. Some support representatives are clearly better working for McDonald’s

Constant errors

Constant errors, incorrect posted balances, like RBC is in the Stone Age compared to other banks. Just really really frustrating. The app crashes on me everyday at some point, even on different devices. Can’t see both my US and Canadian accounts on the same dashboard… They really need new app developers…

Fraud!

It is nothing besides a deliberate act by RBC to conduct fraud through offering points while redeeming all points at once is not an option forcing customers to loose them or wait until the value decided by RBC is reached. The only reason RBC has no fear running fraud because they are located in Canada & there is no check & balances by the government. This bank doesn’t practice these deceptive business tactics in America because they will be sued!

Very annoying app

1. Why do you ask for personal questions if I’m already authenticated with FaceID? 2. The most annoying in-app popup messages I’ve ever experienced with no option to turn them off. 3. Unable to update phone number on Personal Information page without verifying identity on the previous phone number. What if one no longer has access to the previous phone number? Hoping these issues will be addressed soon.

Like the devs have never used a competitor

Everything works terribly. Trying to hook up to anything like monarch winds up in verification loops that are infinite. Every time you switch out of the app you have to log back in. Hate this bank so much.

Where’s the balance widgets?!

I held out for as long as possible, using my iPhone 7 until the very end. Today, I spent a lot of money on an iPhone 16 so I can get the most recent version of RBC Mobile. I thought this new version would fix the widget problem that persisted years on the previous version before mandating iOS 16. Today, I find the latest version doesn’t even have a balance widget. It was a great feature to quick glance at my financials to keep track of them. Bring the feature back please and I’ll bump up my rating.

US linked accounts have never shown in app. They are already LINKED to my account but the app just won't show the accounts. always says that there is an error or technical issues.

Payment History not loading

Why is it that you cannot access past payments any longer through the app under the history tab?

Push notifications don't work

21st century, Canada's one of the biggest bank and you still don't have decent developer team to fix push notifications issue?

Virtual Card Error

Is too bad to say this app doesn’t show a preview of my virtual card, instead it brings out technical error which very frustrating I must say that, secondly, I will advice the developer to attach dark mood during app update.Thanks

Keep having “technical issues”

The app is normally great but every once in a while the app has “technical issues” that prevents it from being opened for hours or more. It’s extremely annoying and inconvenient.

Never works

This app almost never works to login. Your security is so tight I can’t get into my own account.

Worst bank

After two years I still cannot link my USA based rbc account into the app to see balances.

Dreadful Login

This app never works. Won’t send a text to my phone number. I have to have a phone call. How about an authentication app instead not tied to the phone since that seems to be a problem for the banks technology

Incompetent

It’s been over a full month and two factor authentication is still not working. Preventing me from mobile online banking. How is this possible!!!

Not sure what is wrong with the app

I cannot login in my account. I share password between the Mac and the phone. The password works perfectly on the Mac and doesn’t work (ever) with the mobile app. If I try two times in a row and don’t get it right the app locks my bank account and I need to restore the password. Uninstalled. I’m tired of wasting my time.

Can’t log in - 2 step verify double failure

Wow, they have gone nuts on security, so secure I can’t log into my own account. Sends my phone noticification but won’t recongize it on my laptop. Even tried w drivers license scan. That didn’t work either. I correctly enter my password and tried two different options for 2 step verification and still locked out. RBC - fix this. Unacceptable!

Cross Border Account

I tried to use this app to transfer monies from my Canadian Account to my US Account and I could not transfer the monies. It seems like I have to link my US Acoount which I tired to do but I get an error message. So I tried to enroll and when I tried to enroll I get a message saying I am already enrolled. Please fix this. Thank you.

Pay vendors on mobile

I cannot pay vendors on mobile so I need to always login from the web to do that . Why can’t it be so simple like interac I have Authentication on, so if I log in with my mobile web and authenticate with my mobile app, I lock my account as a fraud. Two times in one week and I had to walk to the bank to prove I am the owner of my business account. Business account feater really needed is the ability to pay vendors on the go!

Worst User Experience

This app currently has one of the worst user experience ever shown by a banking app. Majority of the feature enabling buttons don’t work and links keep showing the error “currently we are experiencing technical issues. Try later”. The ability to link US accounts don’t work either. The developers also seem to have taken a short cut to putting the least amount of effort by showing US accounts via web views instead of natively showing it within the app.

Horrible incompetent staff

I just called the number and I was met with complete disrespect with staff that barely speak English and they put a limit to my property and money which is illegal. They advised me to use an alternative bank if I want to purchase a television online from y OWN money. No wonder why they are receiving lawsuits from patrons.
