Don’t let all the good reviews fool you. Software is constantly going down. From the perspective of an employee, it’s extremely inconvenient. Often allows clocking in but not out, saying “unable to retrieve your data” or something along those lines. Doesn’t work without service, which is where most the jobs are anyways. Loses logs, generally just a liability. Find a different software or other manner to keep track of hours. Workforce is no good.

gets worse every time

this app has never improved upon update. it continues to glitch and stop working, making it nearly impossible to switch between clients and makes keeping track of my day very hard. and why get rid of the favorites option for clients and service items? terrible terrible app. please bring back favorites and make this app actually function.

I wish I can give it no stars and the customer service is terrible and they don’t have a clue about the app well here is my complaint I have a commercial cleaning business with site in Philadelphia Delaware and Florida well I was actually at of the location in delaware and the app told me my closet location was a site that was 700 mile away and it allowed me to sign in to the site how are you able to sign in and out at any location this Geofencing is the worst then when they update the app its does tell you what was updated lol they don’t even know because it doesn't say i have to much to say about the app so im just going to use my valuable time to search for another app so good Luck to everyone

Used to work, now it’s nonfunctional

2026 Update: this app kind of works now. However, it doesn’t like to update to the current pay period. Especially if I’ve clocked in from a computer. Still having major issues which is kind of astounding being how big this company is. I have used much smaller apps that work better than this app. Additionally, with AI‘s ability to write code and create apps, I’m shocked that they can’t get this app to work. Original review: As a ProAdvisor, I have used with app for YEARS and have recommended it to many clients. It USED to work perfectly. Then they started the beta testing rollout. The app kept freezing and you couldn’t enter notes. Then they forced the conversion to the new format and this app hasn’t worked since. Not only does the app freeze when entering notes, unless you are entering them after hitting “clock out”, it is constantly logging me out, several times a day. And, it won’t sync with the website. The app shows me logged in for days even though I’ve clicked out online and clocked into another job. It’s absolutely nonfunctional. I don’t know why you messed with a perfectly functional app.

Extremely Tedious & Slow

You used to be able to clock in/out by hitting one button. Now if you try to clock in without selecting which location you’re working, it makes you go back & select the location & then hit clock in again. However, even if you select the location before clocking in it will still make you go back & select the location & clock in all over again anyways. You also have to select what service item you performed at the job before it lets you clock out (the same role at the job you work every single day). Keep in mind that on top off all these unnecessary steps, the app is slow & will bug out a significant amount of the time, saying “Couldn’t load info!” & it will make you close the app & reload it.

The Clunky Update That Won’t Go Away

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the updated version of this app numerous times to try to put an end to the spinning wheel of death, but it has been in vain. I’m not sure why the perfectly functional version has been pushed aside for this clunky update but if we get to vote I want it back. The new version takes a great many more clicks to get through the already tedious practice of recording hours and to add insult to injury just when you think this task is nearly complete the spinning wheel of death appears and all progress is lost

The app crashes constantly or doesn’t work. I have a new iPhone 17 pro max if that matters. Only thing that seems to fix the app is to delete it and reinstall it almost having to do it daily. I hate this app and wish my job would either change it or the world fix the app. Hard to navigate. Super slow loading times. Can never upload pictures which I have to do daily for my job. Has NEVER worked without having wifi and working remotely and having to do work on my personal time is annoying please fix this app and I’ll change my review

What Happened?!

App used to work great! All of a sudden, I can’t add a daily timesheet. I select “timesheets”, hit the plus symbol in the top right hand corner, select “add time by duration”, then go to select the time duration, and the app will just sit there in an endless loading screen or force close itself. The only way I can add my timesheets now is by using the website on a PC. So, what’s the point of this app if it cannot function properly to clock in?

This app is truly terrible. I legitimately cannot clock out for the day or for break. It glitches all the time, tells you to refresh to fix it, but it doesn’t. Just a really poorly made app.

About to lose my job

My company started using this app a few years ago and on my phone has been nothing but problems nonstop and for some reason, only my phone has problems. Or should I say the amount of problems that I have. My pictures will disappear off the jobs. my notes will disappear off the jobs. Sometimes my whole day will disappear. I can see my notes and pictures sometimes, but the Office is calling me that they don’t see any notes or pictures on the app whatsoever and I’m just being accused of not doing it. I have screenshots from when the office says hey there’s no pictures or notes and I opened it up and they’re there but they can’t see him or I’ll screenshot the night before my whole day and the next day it’s completely gone. This has called me problems for years now and it’s to the point that I don’t know what to do because my work doesn’t believe that it it’s just me having this problems so thanks. I’ve been at this company for 10 years and I’m probably gonna get fired soon because of this app, this app is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me period

So frustrating to use

Talk about a counter “intuitive” app. Nothing works as you expect, it’s glitchy, buttons don’t work, adding a time sheet for a prior day is a nightmare.

Eats battery like a starving man

Why does this time keeping app use more battery running in the background than Safari does running in the foreground according to my settings app? This is awful, if i wasn’t required to use the app for work I’d never touch the thing

New update ruined a perfectly good app. Besides all the glitches, the new format has so many steps before clocking in or out that my time is messed daily. That is the main function for my use of the app as a employee and it has been failing miserably. Update: it’s been several weeks and this app still sucks

Doesn’t work for IOS

Takes me a couple mins for the app to load then another couple minutes for every option I tap on. When it takes me 12 minutes just to clock in for the day in the morning it gets a bit ridiculous.

I’m writing this because whatever updates have happened over the last six months have made this app way worse for clocking in or out. It’s such a pain to change jobs where it used to be. Much simpler and the old way I used to be able to select from a favorite of jobs that I was doing instead that has been removed and now is much more of a pain in the rear end to just do anything with this app. This app needs to go back to how it used to be to be remotely functional and I’m trying to convince my company to stop using this system and go to a better system because it is complete trash between this app and Quickbooks

I’m trying to clock in my shift but each time I try I get kicked out of the menu and I see green dots circling around as if it’s loading. I never had this problem on a previous version. This company really needs to look into these bugs and fix them.

It functions but the sync is terrible. Changed made on QBO to projects do not update on workforce.

It will clock me in constantly when I didn't touch anything which causes unauthorized overtime at my job which is a REAL LIFE ISSUE. This isn't like some silly game bug, this is my actual life, my money, and my employment. It will happen any time I enter the app even freshly after clocking out on the computer. And it can happen when I click on literally any notification, even the ones that tell me that I clocked out. It's actually so ridiculous and I am so sick and tired of it. don't care about light mode and dark mode I want it to actually show that I clocked out on time. Having to explain to my employer that your app is broken every time this happens sounds like some pathetic excuse every single time, and i because it is honestly pathetic that it's even happening. Yall need to figure it out, yall so annoying, if it weren’t for my job having us use this platform I would never use this again or recommend this ever.

New update

The previous version of the app worked very well. Now the updated version is awful. Doesn’t load when I need it to, favorites were taken away, and it is just all around way less user friendly. Less than impressed.

Privacy

I would like to keep my privacy to myself. Can you fix the app? I have an issue when the boss doesn’t pay for the phone. He expects me to pay for it for his business. Fix this tracking problem. And you can not sign In Without having service as the app had mentioned.

They did it folks! They made it Worse!

A few months back this app worked great. Now it’s horrible. The interface is terrible. The interface is confusing. The old design was incredibly clear and so easy to use. This new design is terrible and it is buggy as hell. Do you need to clock in? Well first you have to wait 30 to 45 seconds for the app to load now. They thought 10 to 15 was not workplace efficient they needed to make the load time longer. You used to be able to go to your schedule and say clock in for this client. No that doesn’t do that anymore you need to clock in twice before you clock in but you have to tell it which client it is now. you used to just be able to click on your schedule and it would clock you in for that client. Now you click on the schedule then you go to a screen where you can clock in and then when you clock in you have to say which client it is and then it won’t clock you in because the app sucks and then you have to clock in a second time. Also clocking out is a coin flip. I will clock out and then wake up the next day and find out I’m still on the clock. I don’t know why you did this. The app worked and it worked very well. Did an executive one day just say hey guys I have a great idea let’s make the app suck now. Let’s piss everybody off! Word around the water cooler is the company is firing all their programmers and making the ones who are still there go through this whole process of trying to prove why they deserve their job before they get fired and the big dumb executives think why don’t we just have AI break the application for us? I hate this app and I hate the executives at this company for making the decision to break the app.

Worthless app

There was a big update about a year ago, changed the whole UI. Since then, I frequently have to restart the app several times to start my shift, same with ending my shift. I gave it full location permissions but it keeps asking me again every couple of weeks, I don’t close it during my shift but i can’t logout at end of day without one or more app restarts, every so often it requires a device restart. I don’t have issues with any other app. I can’t just login to start my shift, logout to end it…it’s always a whole ordeal

With the newer UI, I find it more annoying than the previous. With the older, it would save the service number and the worker order for ease of access when clocking in. Now you have to manually select both each time.

Try to add a time sheet from a previous day and it just loads and never lets you input it. This app sucks to deal with

Workforce Update

The new update has made QuickBooks Time more difficult and slower to use. The app now says it has been made “faster and easier,” but several changes have actually added extra steps to basic tasks. Previously, when clocking in, the app would automatically carry over the client/customer from the previous day. If I needed a different client, I could simply change it. With the new version, I have to manually select the client every single time I clock in, even when I am continuing work for the same client. This adds an unnecessary step to something I do every day. Editing existing timesheets has also become much more confusing. The previous layout made it easy to see and edit my clock-in and clock-out times. In the new version, navigating and editing existing entries is much less intuitive. I have also experienced repeated glitches when trying to clock in. I often have to attempt to clock in multiple times or repeatedly adjust the time before the app will actually accept the entry. I have even encountered issues with an existing timesheet that I cannot edit or delete, while the app simultaneously tells me that a new entry overlaps an existing timesheet. The old version was simple and efficient. The new version may look updated, but for an employee who uses QuickBooks Time throughout the workday, it now requires more steps and has been considerably less reliable. I would really like to see the previous client-selection behaviour restored, timesheet editing simplified, and the clock-in glitches addressed.

The app frequently differs from time punch sync issues often for me... like, I'll clock in or out, then later go to the online dashboard and find the time punch didn't take. It's been very occasional, but the worst was when I lost a whole day of punches, albeit that incident was about a year and a half back. usually it works, but I can't rate a time clock app highly if I can't consistently rely on it. Sometimes it'll just log me out. That's what I'm dealing with right now but it won't log me in.

Update bad

After update our employees can't log into sub customers. Have spent hours with tech support and just get use the mobile website. Very frustrating, if they can't correct may have to switch companies.

Update rendered unusable for clocking in and out

Since the update my timesheets tab is completely gone. Just Money, Time Off (which shows an empty black screen), Benefits, Taxes, and More. The only tab with up-to-date data is Money, which is of course still not useful for daily timekeeping. Thank god my company is already transitioning to a new payroll software, but for now I have to use the clunky mobile in-browser interface.

New update is actually horrific

Workforce worked fine for years, yes it’s had many bugs and issues but it’s never been this bad. If you don’t have 10 bars of 5G good luck clocking in on this app, “couldn’t load info” everything should already be on the app but it’s somehow so bad you can’t clock in. I’ve been having to use the notes app to track my hours and then type them Into workforce when I have perfect service. Hopefully they change it.

Your Info Didn’t Load

QuickBooks Workforce App is absolutely horrible. It always updates and when it does it kicks you out. Then, you will get an error message when trying to clock in “Your Info Didn’t Load” refreshing the page should resolve issue. You hit the Green Refresh button and it does absolutely nothing. Location issue. You go to settings and put ALWAYS ON for location and still same issue. On top on that you can never get a representative who an never help and reads from a script . Remind you they don’t work on the weekends. Trouble shooting (It’s 2026 I know how to Troubleshoot) Yes, I have logged out. Log back in and deleted the app. Re-added the app. Location is set always you name it. We have done every troubleshooting still does not resolve the issue. The kicker is they want to credit you five dollars. It should be worth more than that when you have to manually add in your employees time and with all the stress and frustration that comes along with this crazy app and no one can help. This is the worst clock in app Ever!!
