Rocket Money: Fails to detect actual recurring subscriptions
Consumers experience inaccurate tracking when apps fail to list several monthly subscription bills and incorrectly project charge dates. Additionally, users find the service unhelpful when it does not successfully track and cancel subscriptions as advertised in commercials.
6 different people have complained about this since 14 Aug 2026, most recently on 13 Oct 2026. 2 of them in the last 30 days.
- “We’re bombarded with ads from these guys claiming they keep track of subscriptions… and right away I noticed several that were missing from this list.”
- “I thought it would be like the commercial, it is missing several monthly bills”
- “It showed I was going to be charged on days I was not as well.”

Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets — Not good at tracking expenses We’re bombarded with ads from these guys claiming they keep track of subscriptions… and right away I noticed several that were missing from this list. For whatever reason it does a very poor job of listing annual subscriptions. So my PlayStation Plus…
Missing feature…ney - Bills & Budgets — I thought it would find ALL my subscriptions I thought it would be like the commercial, it is missing several monthly bills
Missing feature…r whether or not it was something I was supposed to be subscribed to. It showed I was going to be charged on days I was not as well. Overall it is really iffy on how reliable it is.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets — Fake Subscriptions Listed subscriptions repeatedly and subscriptions I just didn’t have to have a “higher” amount I didn’t know I was paying for, it insisted I was paying 100s but I was actually paying less than $30
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets — Unhelpful Said it detected something unusual and could not process my request to make an account I just want to track my subscriptions like the ads claimed

Questions about this idea
- Is Fails to detect actual recurring subscriptions a startup idea?
- Not directly. These are complaints about a product or service people already use, and the fix belongs first to that provider. The page shows what is frustrating users and how badly — not an open market to start a company in.
- How many people have this problem?
- 6 different people described it independently, in 6 mentions, the earliest from 14 Aug 2026 and the most recent from 13 Oct 2026. The quotes, with dates and links to the originals, are in the Evidence section.
- Is this problem getting worse?
- Status: steady — no change the counts can show. 2 people raised it in the last 30 days and 0 in the 30 days before; the status compares its share of everything collected from the same source, so collecting more or less cannot create a trend.
