Also, it’s a whole ridiculous process to get your booking fee refunded. Let’s say the vendor on the account is actually a fraudster who makes appointments and forces you to send a “deposit” via CashApp prior to confirming and then on the day of the appointment you show up to the provided address only to find you have been sent to a crackhouse and you don’t have an appointment at all (Meka at Pretty Brat I’m looking at you). StyleSeat does nothing to investigate or police bad actors on their platform. I also read about worse cases of the ghosting scam I experienced. Some of these scam stylists send odd or fake addresses and constant texts of excuses until the appointment time passes and your card is charged…then all communication stops.
