It was simple, it was well priced, and didn’t seem loaded down with unnecessary features. If someone asked me, I told them it was a five star deal. \n\nNow, after two years, they’ve started playing the same games that so many sneaky subscription products play. First, they got rid of the plan that was working perfectly well for me and replaced it with one that cost 50% more, containing features that I would never use and have never used. They assumed that I wouldn’t notice and that it would auto renew. \n\nWhen I saw what they had done, I went to their website to try and change the plan and that was a real labyrinth. They even used misleading wording by suggesting that the “discounted price“ of the new plan was lower but it was much higher. \n\nEventually, with the help of a real person (who was terrific) on the phone and nearly an hour of my time, I was able to find out how to change the plan to the one that suited me best even though it was still more expensive than the previous plan. At least it wasn’t 50% more expensive. \n\nI’m just warning everyone who signs up with WIX that they have to be very careful about how deviously they will play with you once you’ve got your site up and running and really have nowhere else to go at renewal time.
