That loyalty makes what I’m about to say even more frustrating.\n\nAfter migrating to Notability Cloud, everything broke. Notes lost their formatting entirely — PDFs and handwriting are compressed and jumbled together. The app freezes constantly, lags on every action, and is essentially unusable.\n\nWhat makes this worse? Support responded with an automated message acknowledging it’s a known issue — meaning this shipped broken, and users are left waiting with no timeline for a fix.\n\nNotability earned its reputation over years of quality. One careless update shouldn’t be allowed to destroy it. I hope the team treats this with the urgency it deserves.","authorHash":"8f2cd06356d159189dcf7796cd3d7944","rating":1,"offTopic":false},{"id":"4d5388d4-66f8-4cfd-9bb5-708008580c78","excerpt":"Notability: AI Notes & Planner — Years of notes gone — Don't use this app. Countless reviews stating they lost their data. The recordings are irreplaceable and one of the main reasons I paid for Pro. iCloud and Google Drive backups were corrupted by the sync and I was unable to recover them.\n\nI contacted support across multiple platforms for 3+ weeks — multiple tickets closed without resolution, follow up emails ignored, Reddit rep promised a follow-up and also ghosted. This is a documented widespread issue with hundreds of similar reviews. Several friends who use Notability had encountered the same data loss issues.\n\nThe app failed at its one job and the company disappears when it happens. Not even your backups are safe.
