Especially when I went to the Color page for color grading, but I think it’s worth learning because the result surprised me.\n\nWhen I got a bit braver, I tried to go to the Fusion tab and do some motion graphics, which also took some patience and about 90 minutes of watching YouTube tutorials. But in the end, I loved what it looked like, so I might say that DaVinci is not only free software like Premiere or Final Cut, but can even be a bit like After Effects due to its advanced VFX.\n\nBasically, I am just stunned because of how much is available for free. Timeline editing, color correction, audio tools, effects, transitions, keyframes, tracking stuff, decent export options. And there’s a lot going on in DaVinci’s interface, that’s true too. And Kdenlive handled it pretty well. There’s literally nothing that can scare you away while editing because the interface is super minimalistic and intuitive.\n\nTo be honest, OpenShot is the editor I’d give to someone who misses Windows Movie Maker and just wants to cut together a few clips. Don’t expect wonders from it, though, because it’s nowhere near as advanced as DaVinci or Premiere Pro. \n\nAnd I wouldn’t throw a huge 4K project with tons of layers at it. It can get laggy, and it’s not the editor I’d open for detailed work. As I’ve said, the best ones are only for Pro users, but I found the free selection kinda great, too.\n\nThe interface is very intuitive.
