If you are doing composites with your photos then its mainly the initial stage of prepping a photo for composite work then exprting as a jpeg/png to then bring into PShop as an element to use in compositing or skin retouching etc. if youre not doing composite work then yes all you need is LR as a photographer. I recenly switched BACK to adobe for LR as trying to batch RAW edits in Affinity was absolutely brutal and lacking file organization.. So for personal use Affinity and professional work Adobe softwares. There also I mostly use affinity only because I am more comfortable in using Affinity and canva. Photoshop I dont know why. Still I need to spend a lot of time in removing background in less clarity images, but canva does in in seconds. for other than few features extra I dont find photoshop useful in anyway either. Also using premiere pro and after effects my home laptop gone. Now wanna buy new one unfortunately. If I had only used light software most probably my laptop life span would have been increased.. Only people with high end systems and someone earning with designs can use Adobe softwares. It's understandable that many Adobe users may not be aware about Corel as it has always been the default program of choice for almost all designers in North America (especially for Mac users), but it does have a large following in other parts of the world like Europe, Asia, and South America, though its lack of a proper Mac version may have been the reason it didn't quite caught on in the US. (Corel released a version for Mac OS X back in 2001 but it lacked many functions from the PC version. They eventually released a proper Mac version in 2019). One thing I love about Corel is its adaptability. You can change the layout of the workspace to something similar to Adobe, and I can work on other well-known file formats (Illustrator, Photoshop, PDF, EPS, etc.) and can export them in the same format as well. Though they've yet to find a way to open, save, and export InDesign files just yet.\n\nPerhaps you should've asked other designers using other graphic design software for their pros and cons regarding their software of choice before coming up with a ranking for each one but aside from that, I love your insights on the other graphic design software. (Personally, I'm with you on Canva.
