We won't find out which past releases are coming back, or the names and notes descriptions for all of this year's new releases, until the newsletter on Thursday (tomorrow), and I haven't seen any teasers about what's coming, so I am feeling awfully impatient!\n\nAs I like to do for each collection, here are my thoughts on all of the Autumn 2s I've tried - some of these have been discontinued, but you never know when something might come back, or perhaps you might find one in the swaps and be looking for a review.\n\n**A note about my preferences:** I especially love snuggly scents, incense, golden amber, cardamom, black tea, beeswax, non-gourmand vanillas, and white florals (though sadly I am allergic to lilies and jasmine doesn’t usually work on me). I don't like hay, overly sweet gourmands, butter notes, excessive musk, dragon’s blood, leather, patchouli, labdanum, or any really dark scents in general. To my great devastation, Nui Cobalt’s apricot, pear, and honeysuckle notes don’t tend to work on me, though I haven’t given up hope and I continue to try new blends with those notes occasionally.\n\nSome of these were provided as press samples in exchange for honest reviews.\n\nBuckle up, friends, and get yourself a cup of tea; I've tried a *lot* of past Autumn 2s! In alphabetical order, with all the Spidersilks in their own separate section at the bottom.\n\n\\[Wow - this post is so long it has exceeded the maximum allowed length! I'll try posting again, this time moving the Spidersilk variants to a comment.\\]\n\n\\~\\~\\~\n\n**Au Bal Masque** \\[Nepalese virgin cashmere, cotton flower, vanilla spun sugar, labdanum, and the wafting memory of white funeral lilies\\] - I get more cotton than cashmere - this is a very clean scent rather than a cozy scent - and it's quite floral, the funeral lilies reminding me strongly of **Pale as Death** (see below) although **Au Bal Masque** is significantly less powdery. There's something deeply unearthly about this one. It feels fragile and delicate (\"spun sugar\" is a perfect descriptor) but also with something slightly unsettling lurking underneath. (Which is absolutely the labdanum. I can take labdanum in very small amounts or as part of a very warm, golden amber accord. I tend to find labdanum awfully sinister in other contexts!) You know the ball scene in *Labyrinth*? Sarah in her big floofy gown, the sumptuousness of the ball, the haughty, fairy-like people around her, and the growing undertone of goblin menace? This perfume is *that*.\n\n**Awaken the Witch** \\[Leather bound grimoires on mahogany shelves. A cup of hot tea, subtly sweetened with vanilla bean and honey. Sandalwood incense mingling with black patchouli, cardamom, and coriander\\] - I approached this scent with great trepidation. Some notes tend to be automatic no's for me - labdanum, hay, leather, patchouli, for example. Sometimes if it's clearly only a background note, I might still order a sample of something with one of these notes, like **Morari Day After Halloween** \\[Tootsie roll accord, coumarin, hay absolute, ambrette, soft musk\\] with its hay note, or **Arcana Eir** \\[A sheer veil of gentle Roman chamomile tea, wild lavender buds, vanilla bean, warm flannel, ivory patchouli, and fresh coconut milk infused with petals of tuberose and magnolia\\] with its ivory patchouli (and both of those scents ended up being huge hits for me!). But **Awaken the Witch** was an experimental choice for sure because it seems to feature several of the notes I usually shy away from! Leather and black patchouli don't look like background notes; they look like front-and-center notes. But enough people raved about its beautiful black tea that I just had to try it, and I’m *so* glad that I did. Nui Cobalt has the most *glorious* tea note. **Awaken the Witch** is **Blarney** \\[The warm, tannic comfort of a proper Cuppa sweetened with a touch of raw honey and smoothed with fresh cream\\] - a perfect cup of lightly-sweetened black tea – but the other notes, the leather, mahogany, incense, patchouli, and spices, swirl around it and coalesce into the most magical scent of witchy confidence. A little dark, a little earthy, but nothing harsh or screeching. It’s absolute *perfection*. If, like me, you’re skittish of leather or patch, this is a really phenomenal one to try because it’s so well-blended and honestly it would be a poorer scent without those notes. I remain really startled by how much I like this. I FS it a few years ago, and it, along with **Bibliomancy** and **The Headmistress** (see below), remain some of my all-time most beloved fall scents.\n\n**Basic Witch** \\[An impeccable pumpkin spiced latte conjured from true Ceylon cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, candied ginger, cardamom, espresso, steamed vanilla oat milk, and a surreptitious shot of Grand Marnier\\] - Yep, that's a pumpkin spice latte! I confess that as a tea drinker I've never actually had one of these famed autumn drinks, but it's hard to miss - pumpkin spice (heavy on the nutmeg) over a shot of chocolatey espresso and NCD's cuddly oat milk, sweetened with maple syrup. I smelled the orange of the Grand Marnier in the vial but not on my skin. \"Basic\" this combination might be, but it's well-loved for a reason and it feels so very autumnal. However, espresso continues to be not really my thing; I guess I was hoping for mostly chai spices and pumpkin rather than this strong coffee.\n\n**Bats in the Belfry** \\[Fuzzy brown fur accord on soft golden hay that’s been infused with decades of frankincense and myrrh, guaiac wood, oudh, copal resin, and amber musk\\] - This one is honeyed amber and animal fur, with an undertone of cinnamon and orange citrus. I was enticed to try this one by a number of reviews praising its inherent snuggliness, but it doesn’t really read as particularly snuggly to me - I guess I need vanilla, sandalwood, ambrette, cardamom, or some combination of those for something to reach peak coziness! There's nothing wrong with this one, it's quite nice if you go in for honey and fur musk, but it's not really for me. I feel like it should work better for me than it actually did.\n\n**Bibliomancy** \\[The vanillic scent of brittle pages, well-worn leather bindings, dried lavender and forget-me-not blossoms pressed beneath translucent vellum, Peru balsam, Omani frankincense, and oudh\\] -This one *immediately* became another top favorite autumn scent when I first tried it - it makes me swoon with absolute delight. It's a vanilla-papyrus paper note with delicate florals. This lavender is of the sweet perfumey variety, not herbal at all, and the forget-me-not really does add a little extra daintiness, and there's hints of leather for grounding and the memory of incense. Like **Starlight and Spidersilk**, the vanilla quality to this edges ever-so-slightly soapy, but I really love that effect (which is why I love so many of the Spidersilk variants). It is by far my favorite of Nui Cobalt's book-themed perfumes! And it's another one that I FSed.\n\n**Canoodling in a Crypt** \\[Dead leaves, black amber, iced chai, cathedral incense, graveyard dirt, and languid Egyptian musk\\] - This is the icy, vampiric brother to the other Canoodling scents, without the warmth of **Canoodling in a Leaf Pile** \\[Warm chai, vermilion musk, copal resin, the subtle hint of a campfire\\] or **Canoodling in the Library** \\[Brittle pages bound in leather, tall mahogany shelves, blushing leaves fallen upon ancient stone stairs, amber resin, warm skin musk, and vetiver\\]. There is very little warmth to **Canoodling in a Crypt**, only an icy sophistication. This vampiric scent smells mad expensive due to the Egyptian musk (which does get slightly soapy over time as it sits on my skin), and it's backed by chai spices (here stripped of their warmth but with the fiercely autumnal aspect still remaining) and that glorious NCD cathedral incense note. The dead leaves and dirt add just a hint of earthiness that literally serves to bring this scent down to earth, keeping it from being solely moody and unearthly.\n\n**Cemetery Soiree** \\[Mossy stone walls, lanterns aglow, steam from a cauldron of hot spiced cider, funeral flowers catching rain from crimson leaves above\\] - A fantastically atmospheric spiced apple cider, with stone and petrichor demanding attention, and shy hints of white lilies and quiet yet earthy red musk in the background. This is SO COOL - what a weird and interesting and super-autumnal combination.\n\n**Crone's Cottage** \\[Oatmeal cookies still warm from the oven, beeswax candles on the windowsill, a warm cup of strong black tea with milk, and a generous dollop of honey\\] - This one is beeswax and oatmeal cookies, and just a hint of cinnamon. The tea is nowhere to be found when first applied, but steadily makes its presence known, though it remains a background player. On the drydown, it's oats and honey with a backdrop of beeswax and tea. Personally, I sort of wish the balance of the notes was reversed (more beeswax and tea, and less oats and honey), but that's just because I love NCD's black tea and beeswax notes so much. **Crone's Cottage** is such a cozy autumnal scent. It's been long discontinued and I sometimes see really desperate ISOs for it, so we can all hope one day it might come back in a new formulation.\n\n**Crown of Hekate 2021** \\[Moonflower and myrrh over shining white amber on a pillow of sheer vanilla.\\] - This perfume is one of those frustrating ones that smells *so* amazing in the vial and then my skin just kills it. In the vial it's the most gorgeous white floral + white amber + vanilla, but on my skin, the myrrh takes over and gives the scent an overpowering earthiness. Even wearing it in my hair doesn't quite tone down the myrrh enough for the unearthly beauty of the moonflower to come through.\n\n**Entombed** \\[Cemetery stones enshrouded in mist, wild English lavender, rain, and freshly turned earth\\] - With its lavender and stone, it smells very similar to **Gargoyle** \\[Rain-drenched lavender, cathedral incense, beeswax candles, and ancient stone\\]. The \"earth\" in **Entombed** note smells almost faintly like smoke to me - like the smoke from lighting real-life incense but without much of the incense smell itself, or the whiff of a blown-out match but without the sulfur. As in **Gargoyle**, this lavender note is herbal and pungent and so true-to-life. I've seen reviews recommending this as a sleep scent, and I completely see what they're getting at, but for me this is a little too dark and ominous to be comfortable for sleep. I always find myself sniffing this and wishing, for a sleep scent, that it were lighter and sweeter, maybe with some vanilla. But if you're into darker scents, or wishing for an earthy herbal lavender, this is absolutely one to try. I can also note that after several years of aging, the soil note calmed down considerably, and the whole scent became less dark (in fact there developed almost a marshmallow-like powderiness).\n\n**Exorcised** \\[Snow-covered spruce, rock moss, chilled Earl Grey and pale frankincense\\] - It's first and foremost an evergreen scent, all sharp fir needles calling to mind a chill wintery day, plus quiet green moss, black tea, and the gentlest of incense. It's a fairly close cousin to my beloved **Cloak of Evergreens** \\[Snow-covered spruce, iced cedar tips, golden pine sap, icicle musk, and the fading memory of tea by the fireside\\] but a little chillier, and where **Cloak of Evergreens** is primarily an incensey black tea with the tree note behind it, the ratio is reversed here for a mostly-tree scent with a black tea accent. Gorgeous! And very wintery. I can picture the freshly buttered toast with honey dripping off the sides as you take a big bite! The warm milk isn't too strong though, so this might be a good introduction to lactonics. Thankfully I'm not getting much of any cotton (if it's there, it's seamlessly blended with the other notes) because I'm not the biggest fan of fabric/fibre notes. The roasted vanilla brings a pleasant depth (almost darkness) to the scent, while the amber is transforming it from a simple gourmand to something with a hint of sophistication. (I'm imagining a hunk of smooth, bright golden amber to match the honey~) It definitely doesn't take itself too seriously tho; this is a great option for when you wish the world was a gentler, simpler place. I think it'll get even better with age too! It stays fairly close to the skin, but I get some nice whiffs of it as I move around.\n**4**\n\n**Playdate with Krampus** 👹🍒\n*A playdate with monsters: crimson musk stirred into molten sugar, ruby pomegranate syrup, tart cherries, a dusting of clove-spun candyfloss, and a drizzle of warm vanilla resin.*\nThis is saccharine sweetness with an edge of medicinal \"cherry\" out of the bottle, but blossoms beautiful once it warms on skin. The sweetness of the pomegranate syrup & sugars mellow nicely, while the cherry becomes realistic rather than cough syrup. The red musk isn't too funky (not that that would even be a problem for me) & gives this scent the slightly masculine edge that seems common amongst these Krampus blends. I'm not picking out the vanilla resin specifically, but I'm sure it's contributing to the overall smoothness & delicate warmth of this blend. The scent is pretty strong, I can smell it just sitting still which is not typical of most fruit-based scents from BPAL, in my experience. That said, it seems like it's here for a good time, but not a long time. Interestingly, the clove didn't really make itself known until it was near the end of its stay. I do really enjoy this scent, but I'm not sure if it's a year-round one for me. My partner likes it tho, so I might bust it out for date nights too, especially during the winter season.\n**3½**\n\nBONUS **Strawberry Lemonade Pie** 🍋🥧\nSweet & tart, with a hint of pastry goodness~ To be honest, the lemon does have a bit of a bitter edge to it when first applied, but eventually the pinky-reddness of the strawberries becomes the focus with a more tart lemon supporting it. I wish the pie/crust note was more prominent because I love the way BPAL does those notes. I wanna put this away for a while to see how it develops before wearing it again. I do think it's a good dessert course for Playdate with Krampus tho! Alas, it fades rather quickly, but at least the crust is what holds on the longest.\n**2**\n\n**Black Julbocken Alchemy Lab** 🐏🖤\n*A musky, snow-touched, forest-deep Yuletide blend: shaggy black wool and a slushy tangle of juniper, mistletoe, winter sage, spikenard, white moss, and terebinth.*\nI will admit that I'm not nearly as familiar with traditional Christmas-y notes, so this may be a bit more vague of a review. What I do know for certain is that this scent is like Christmas in a bottle - I can see why it holds such an important role in the Yules line-up! Especially upon initial application, there is an intense piney freshness that instantly infuses you with festive awe! Beneath that is a woody, resinous, slightly funky forest floor. Something about the cumulation of these notes is almost giving Christmas patchouli, which only makes me love it more! After about 10 minutes, the intensity significantly fades & you're left with a snuggly floof of holiday coziness that stays closer to the skin. This is when the lovely shaggy wool gets its chance to shine too~ Definitely something that will only be worn in the winter season, but this very well may become a signature winter scent. The fact that it seems to come back every year makes it safe to slather on with abandon. I did end up feeling like I needed to reapply, but I was wearing a turtleneck sweater with this, so that could have contributed to how fast it faded.\nWhile technically this should be a **3** because I plan to reserve it for a specific time of year, I love it enough to bump it up to a **4**.\n\n**Poinsettia Gown** 💃🏻🌹\n*Rose cream, jasmine cream, mallow, vanilla foam, and sweet amber.*\nAnother beautiful rose from BPAL! I'm pretty selective about which rose perfumes I try because I can find it to be an oppressive note, but this blend is rather delicate. The jasmine cream gives the rose a lush, dewy quality that I absolutely love! And I'm never upset about mallow or vanilla anything being added to a blend. Especially upon initial application, this perfume reminds me a bit of Rose Milk Tea from Lupers '25, but I think the amber is pulling it in a more perfumey direction & makes me not want to sniff it too closely because it is a bit harsh to my nose at close range. This does seem to carry fairly far tho! I can smell it without needing to move around & my partner was able to pick up on it as I walked into the room with them. It stays fairly fragrant like that for a couple hours, but hangs around even longer than that. This one is hard to rate because I think I like it most before dry down & I suspect it'll be even more gorgeous once it's had a chance to age a bit.\nFor now: **2½**\n\n**It Was But the Wild Blast As It Sung Thro’ the Trees** 🌬️🌰\n*Honeyed oats, toasted clove, hazelnuts, hay, and skin-warmed wool.*\nThis scent is like a scratchy wool blanket that's so warm & snuggly you don't mind the prickliness. I almost got a different scent from the Erl-King category, but the one I initially selected felt too similar to Edward Bear so I decided to get something similar yet slightly more challenging. This perfume is yet another testament to the artistry that is BPAL because normally I'd have a hard time believing a scent with hay & wool notes in it could smell this nice. The honeyed oats & hazelnuts bring a brown coziness while the clove brings that gently scratchy warmth. I'd say this scent has medium throw, but it lasts quite a while; I put it on just before bed & woke up still being able to smell it a bit. I think this is a great bedtime perfume if you're not a lavender person. Because of the hay & hazelnut, people who liked or were curious about Mouse might be interested in this blend too!\n**4**\n\n**Gingerbread Snek** 🫚🐍\n*Gingerbread thickened with molasses and patchouli, spiced with Snake oil, and frosted with sugared vanilla bean.*\nDo I even need to tell y'all how perfect this scent is? I mean, it's practically impossible to go wrong with Snake Oil in any of its many variations. I'm not sure if it's my imagination because I don't have standard SO to compare this to right now, but I wanna say that whatever is in SO that smells like birch or sassafras is extra strong in this blend - and I'm here for it! To be clear, nothing is ever \"missing\" from SO, but the addition of gingerbread notes rounds it out with a gentle spice that is perfect for the holidays, but subtle enough to wear all year long. Like with other SO blends, the throw is decently strong & it sticks around for a good few hours before wearing closer to the skin. I've been reapplying to keep it fresh all day tho because I want to live in a cloud of it.\n**5**\n\nBONUS **Bombastic Subtropical Turquoise Pie** 🌀🥧\nThis frimp got me ridiculously excited because it is literally photorealistic Baja Blast Pie in the vial. I thought I was gonna be living in a cloud of my favorite drink. Nope! As soon as I put this on, something happens to the Baja Blast that makes it completely unrecognizable. Despite this, the pie note stays perfectly in fact. Honestly a pretty big disappointment, but I'll happily keep the frimp in my cosmetics bag to bust out as a goofy conversation piece.\n**1½**\n\n**Frankincense Smoke Hair Gloss** 🔥🙏🏻\n*A frost-edged nave of stone, where stained glass glimmers with the light from prayer-lofted votives. Spirals of incense drift through the chill winter air, mingling with the solemn drip of beeswax from altar candles. Cedar pews gleam under centuries of prayer, and the air hums with hushed devotion.*\nSimply divine! This scent is everything I want out of an frankincense blend: mysterious & heady without feeling oppressive. I can't pick out the beeswax, cedar, or other atmospheric notes specifically, but I can tell the frankincense reads richers & smoother because of it. I love liturgical incense, so even tho this is themed for the holidays I can see myself rocking this on all except the hottest of summer days. But it’s also a flower that has healing properties…so is fragility its only association? Or is it just newer to pair violet with leather, amber, and wood?\n\nI’m also frustrated that so many iconic violet fragrances can be impossible to find. With that being said:   \n\n\n**The best:** Jo Milano - Full House,  Lattafa - Teriaq Intense, MA - Megara, French Avenue - Liquid Brun, Afnan - 9PM Rebel, Armaf - CDN Blue Iconic, Afnan - Supremacy in Heaven, Lattafa - Asad Bourbon \n\n**The worst:** Lattafa - Eternal Oud, MA - Sceptre Oceana, Lattafa - Maahir Legacy Black, Lattafa - Assad Zanzibar, Al Haramain - Tobacco Edition  \n\n\n**Rasasi - Hawas Ice**\n\nTop notes: Fruit/sweet blast opening, lots of citrus. Too many mixes of fruits to really nail down anything specific but Fragrantica says: plum, apple, Sicilian bergamot and italian lemon. You get the sense of freshness as well.\n\nLots of cardamom throughout the middle. Slightly floral, slightly musky but not the animalic kind—more like white musk. You really get the wood as it sits on the dry down and the amber helps keep that fruit-like smell pretty present and forward. There’s also a stinky moss of sorts that doesn’t smell like it belongs but you have to get pretty close to the skin to smell it. Even then it’s kind of weird, not sure how else to describe it. Dirty, wet sea driftwood? \n\nI give it a 7/10. After four hours the scent starts sitting close to the skin. Better than your basic bitch but nothing ground breaking or that different from what else you can find on the market. It’s a nice summer scent, albeit a bit sweet and perhaps too much for some. It feels like it’s trying to do too much at the end which makes this one a little confusing. But Hawas flankers are so hot right now, so if you want what’s trending and this sounds like you there are worse options. \n\n  \n**Lattafa - Art of Universe**\n\nTop notes: Very pear, like pear juice concentrate. Very citrus, catching some of the orange blossom, mandarin and bergamot in there. The pear smells very pastel/synthetic-like but is also cooling similar to the plum in Vintage Radio. Slightly musky which shows up heavy on the dry down and slightly floral. Other notes on Fragrantica shows ginger and mint at the top but I don’t know if I’m picking up any of that and if it’s there, it’s in very small amounts or blended to the point of not really being able to pick it apart. Maybe that blend is giving the synthetic smell I’m sensing but it’s definitely not ginger forward like Immortel. Smells like the amber at the base keeps the sugar alive during the dry down but the cedar is almost nonexistent to my nose. If you’re into the heavy, sweet fruity type of frags like in VR this might be down your alley. I just get some blue raspberry vibes and it’d be hard to wear this on the regular unless you’re in that type of tropical, humid environment where this belongs or as mentioned above, you like the sweeter sides of life. I give it a 7/10 mainly for it being a unique scent. Still feel like the pear dominates everything similar as to how the pineapple does in Al Fursan or 9PM rebel. \n\n\n\n**Maison Alhambra - Jean Lowe Azure**\n\nGrapefruit/orange citrus blast, then some noticeable musk comes through—likely the ambergris. Reminds me of LV Imagination on the opening just less refined and less complex. By complex I mean the different scents that come through the opening to the dry down and what can be picked up. As it settles on the dry down the ginger shows up, similar and near apparent as the ginger in Immortel. In the end it blends nicely once it has been sitting on the skin for a while and turns into something a little sweet, unlike the “harsh” opening. Full disclosure I don’t own Afternoon Swim. 7/10. \n\n\n\n**Maison Alhambra -  Victorioso Nero**\n\nFresh spicy and citrus, slightly floral, some musk, dries down to a sweeter scent and a slathering of different smells that must be from the tonka bean (Vanilla and amber.) Gives me Coach Blue vibes but not as clean. 6.5/10, not super exciting but safe if that’s what you’re after. \n\n\n\n**Al Haramain - Tobacco Edition** \n\nEven though there isn’t any saffron, it starts off smelling playdoh/imitation vanilla but this is actually a really smoky/dirty, dark tobacco, old WD-40 found on old leather smell. Not a ton of vanilla, maybe slight cinnamon. Sharp smell that doesn’t seem to get a lot better on the dry down despite some of the positive reviews I’ve seen about this one on this sub. I am getting some wood at the base after thirty minutes which is helping to mellow this one out, but if you’re looking for tobacco I’m positive there are better alternatives. Also only getting a few hours of longevity out of this one. 2/10 \n\n\n\n**Armaf - CDN Sillage**\n\nGinger, lemon citrus peel, lime, bergamot, fresh spicy, musky, slightly soapy. Apparently violet leaf is a top note too. Myriad of florals in the middle, cedar comes through on the dry down. Much more synthetic than the OG, way less blended. You read about lemon pledge cleaner a lot and this definitely has that vibe. Whereas SMW has a soft ginger, Sillage has a strong lemon. And on that dry down that lemon and “syntheticness” sticks around where SMW’s ginger disappears. Longevity about the same, I don’t get the hype even at the reduced cost. They don’t smell the same on the dry down like Supremacy in Heaven but alone it’s not terrible. 6/10. \n\n\n\n**Dumont - Nitro Red Intense**\n\nWatermelon, fruity, citrus, sweet. Lavender smell is giving me some strong Polo Sport vibes. Also reminds me of Hawas Ice of sorts. Pretty basic but safe and mass appealing, 6/10. \n\n\n\n**Lattafa - Liam Blue Shine**\n\nFresh spicy, bergamot citrus, clean, slightly soapy, slightly floral, slightly powdery. Aquatic/marine and salt type vibes, very reminiscent of Coach Blue or AdG and its flankers. 7/10\n\n\n\n**Armaf - Tres Nuit** \n\nVery fruity, fresh spicy, almost alcohol smelling at the beginning (likely veranium). Lavender really comes through in the middle, slightly powdery, muskier and darker than GIT, turns very floral where GIT stays balanced and bright. Iris and violet also in this one—lots of purple flowers. Similar to GIT but kind of feminine with all of the flower power, sweetness and of course that darker Arabian take you find on most clones. While GIT smells luxurious, sophisticated and new, this smells like lavender and musk from beginning to end. Which is what GIT eventually does towards the end of its dry down as well and… they’re surprisingly identical. 6/10 \n\n\n\n**Maison Alhambra - Sceptre Bronzite**\n\nAnother Tygar clone, but the musk isn’t as bad the one in Turathi Blue, Theoreme, etc. A ton of grapefruit up top, then ginger. Then musk. People love this DNA but I don’t, and that goes for most Arabian frags that use that animalic musk that overtakes the frag. 6/10.   \n\n\n**Maison Alhambra - Megara**\n\nThis one and Atlas are frequently talked about together. Fresh spicy, aquatic, marine, salty, strange alcohol/oudy/musky smell on the opening. Dries down fast to a more blended and well rounded scent unlike the opening. One of the few frags that actually has legit longevity. I’m a sucker for AdG scents, this gets an 8/10.\n\n\n\n**Afnan - Supremacy Noir**\n\nFresh spicy, green, woody, bitter citrus but darker gentleman type scent. Slightly floral, slightly powdery. Getting a smattering of wood/flower smells, really hard to pinpoint which ones exactly but pine shows up as a note on frag sites. 6/10.   \n\n\n**Armaf - Odyssey Aqua**\n\nFresh blue, ever so slightly sweet. Urban Man Elixir vibes with the ambroxan. Mix of citrus and aquatic at the top. Good blend of a slathering of notes where one doesn’t overpower the other. Lavender, mint, patchouli, some wood. Good 4/5 hours before sitting on the skin. 7/10.\n\n\n\n**Rasasi - Hawas Black**\n\nWarm spicy, very woodsy, smells like a ton of pepper and a myriad of citrus (pineapple, bergamot, grapefruit) on the opening. Very Aventus, gentleman/mature vibes only. Love the staying power on this one (hitting the six hour mark as I write this.) 7/10.\n\n\n\n**French Avenue - Spectre Ghost**\n\nWarm spicy, pink pepper, cedar and patchouli very apparent shortly after the initial spray. Getting a whiff of saffron but I think that’s a weird mix of ginger, cardamom and black currant. This also is a very gentleman-like fragrance. Mature, formal, sophisticated. 7/10.  \n\n\n**Armaf - Odyssey Tyrant**\n\nFresh spicy, citrus variety and ambroxan blast on the opening. Smells a little fruity but not overbearing like in a Nitro Red Dumont way. Ambroxan turns to musk shortly after and sits above the skin giving a pretty good scent bubble. Slightest of floral smells, a little bit of lavender. It kind of reminds me of Lail Maleki Moroccan Blue just with a little less of that Arabian take and more clean. Akin to Rasasi Yumn and Nashama Caprice. This one got me compliments and can see it being in the “mass appeal” realm as a good year round daily. Stays around for about four hours before dying down. 7/10.   \n\n\n**Lattafa - The Kingdom**\n\nSharp opening. Sweet/sugar, vanilla, honey, aromatic, little bit of lavender, little bit of mint, slight tobacco in the background. Similar from the beginning to end although it does seem to get darker as time goes on. Projection is kind of weak, near skin bubble after it settles. This one is sweeter than Lionheart but also smells fresh if that’s what you’re after. 6/10 mainly because of the poor longevity. \n\n\n\n**Lattafa - Khamra Dukhan**\n\nSharp, boozy, warm spicy and a surprising alcohol/gasoline sweet opening that’s likely the pimento which also smells like cinnamon. I own all three and while this one sticks true to the DNA, it  starts off very differently from its siblings. The projection also isn’t very strong but the scent bubble sits off the skin a good distance for longevity instead of having strong staying power for x hours before sitting in the skin. All of these have praline, tonka bean and benzoin. Very amber/syrupy smelling—IYKYK. This one’s the most aromatic of them all, most masculine leaning if you want some spice and tobacco with all that sweet. Subjectively though Qahwa reigns supreme. 7/10\n\n\n\n**Lattafa - Teriaq Intense** \n\nWow, really love this one. Boozy plum blast in the opening with saffron, sharp cinnamon and liqueuresque. Cool like the plum in Vintage Radio but overall a warm spicy frag. I’d say it’s similar to the Khamra line with the tonka bean, amber and benzoin but add some alcohol and fruit instead of all that vanilla. This one takes a while to really settle down but I’m giving it an 8/10 and looking to buy a full bottle. \n\n\n\n**French Avenue - Essence de Blanc**\n\nFirst impression is that it’s a brighter/more pungent citrus than Full House on the opening. Smells like stronger lemon. Less blended fragrance in general, more linear and more soapy but not as “clean” smelling as Game of Spades. Best way I can describe this is if you had Dive bar soap that was dried, you rubbed it on your skin, didn’t rinse it off with water and walked around like that on a hot summer day. After a while GoS is definitely distinctly more sweet on the skin. I’m giving this one a 6/10 since it’s heavily cloned but amongst my least favorite Imagination dupes. Soap can be had for much cheaper. \n\n\n\n**French Avenue - Liquid Brun**\n\nSweet, boozy, Khamra-esque opening. A little sharp with the praline and ambroxan. Smells kind of like tobacco but a lot of that disappears on the dry down. Cinnamon/nutmeg and warm spicy but fresh with citrus at the top. Faint vanilla and a minty, prominent, sharp alkaline smell that reminds me of Armaf Lionheart. Some agar or guaiac wood. And while I cannot approve strongly enough of Sorce's philosophy of not discontinuing anything - simply moving their least popular fragrances to their twice yearly special order window - I can kinda see why some of these don't make the regular catalogue cut. There's like five different oranges, and you literally only need one. And I do have to note that I've only ever tried Sorce's oil, so that could potentially change a lot of things about how these wear and perform. If you want to dip your toes into indies or you live, say, on the other side of the world, they've got you covered.\n\n**A Bump in the Night**: *Roasted strawberries with mascarpone cream and golden honey, pecans, burning leaves.* Smells like smoking barbeque. My parents have a cookbook called *Beach Bach Boat* that they keep at their, yanno, bach, and it's the sort of cookbook that has a \"recipe\" for barbequed fruit kebabs. I don't know a single IRL person who has ever willingly barbequed fruit, but here we are. Kiwi \"cuisine\" at it's finest. Okay, if I'm being serious, this is one of the nicest pure \"woods\" perfumes I've ever smelled, but don't be fooled by talk of strawberries and marscapone.\n\n**A Light in the Attic**: *Dry vanilla, smoke, fallen leaves, suede, juniper leaf, almond, resins, maple syrup.* Uhh, see above in terms of bbq smoke, this is that but even more masc, with leather and juniper. Very dry.\n\n**A Party, Or Something**: *Marigolds, yellow cake, white chocolate, pistachio buttercream, Iso E Super, Cashmeran.* I can't believe they made this special order. It's so unique. Honestly. Cos like, marigolds do actually smell kinda weird, but paired with everything else it's a lovely, earthy, fuzzy, musky sweet thing. I will be acquiring a backup.\n\n**Aliens Go Ice Skating**: *Winter air, sparkling snow, iris, black pepper, Indian vetiver, peru balsam, cocoa butter, tonka bean butter, tonka bean absolute, cashmere scarves, and a strangely colored sky.* Spicy piney woods. Initially it's cold, sharp and masc-leaning. Not for me. It develops into something a little cosier later on, but I think you'd have to especially like vetiver and peru balsam to like this.\n\n**Beautiful, But Annihilating**: *Fresh coconut, jasmine sambac, tonka bean, salty skin.* Mild, salty jasmine. Pretty, sweet, and inoffensive.\n\n**Between The Sheets**: *Figs, cream, beeswax absolute, cashmere, wool, skin musk.* I go backwards and forwards with this, because I kinda think fig is actually gross. Have you ever tried pruning a fig tree? It's fuckin *gross* fam. There's a vile milky sap that's just... eurgh. Nevertheless I kinda like this. If I was a fig person this would be wonderful.\n\n**Cake for Breakfast**: *Birthday cake, ripe mango, pineapple, coffee, maple syrup, and a hint of cardamom.* Odd, actually. I own a full bottle of Followed, so you have to know I love coffee and maple syrup, but... I don't know about the fruit. The drydown is a lot less fruit and a lot more of what I like, but I still don't love it.\n\n**C'est Noel**: *Coffee, freshly baked cinnamon bread, roasted chestnuts, blown out candles, lingering church incense, and softly falling snow.* This is very very strange. There's something, and I figure it has to be the chestnuts, that is very reminiscent of roast beef. Probably wouldn't have been a buy if it wasn't blind, and at the time I wished I had just bought 2am In Lafayette instead (though i got that in a subsequent order, so no harm, no foul I guess)\n\n**Circe**: *Palm trees, flowers carried on a tropical breeze, wild bananas, freshly cracked coconut, sheer vanilla, musk.* Holy banana, batman! For the first ten minutes it's a very strong banana Fruit Burst, but that fades and then it's a very nice, light, beachy skin scent. Though if I wore this outside I'd be worried about the bees...\n\n**Clairsentient**: *A fizzy blackberry, raspberry and bergamot cocktail, spun sugar, juniper berries, floaty vanilla, Iso E Super.* Very pretty and very sweet juicy blackberry. Linear.\n\n**Crystal Prism**:  *French elderflower CO2, bergamot, natural sage and cypress leaf oils, ambroxan, and a hint of tonka bean and vanilla.* Bright, sweet and herbaceous. Dare I say, crystalline? Do you ever wonder how much the name of a fragrance influences how you feel about it? Or even the colour of the label? Anyway, this is a bergamot bomb and it's beautiful, but not for me.\n\n**Dancing Under the Full Moon**: *Creamy tuberose absolute and sweet strawberry are tempered with dry woods (Texan cedar and Amyris wood), saffron, desert sand, and hot spices (ginger, cumin, cinnamon).* Bruh, when they say \"dry woods and hot spices\" they mean *dry* woods and *hot* spices lol. This would be insanely sophisticated and sexy on a masc-presenting person, which is not me, but it's actually very fun.\n\n**Dark Skies**: *desert sage, agave, tuberose, saguaro, sandalwood, vanilla.* Somehow simultaneously dry and sweet sugar syrupy. Smells like New Mexico. I've been to New Mexico once and if i was forced (at gunpoint! lol) to live in America, it would be there. Incredible place.\n\n**Don't Whistle In The Woods**: *Cedar, sandalwood, cypriol, fir balsam, black vanilla, sugar, ambrette, and a hint of fur.* Literally the only one I haven't tried haha. I'm not particularly an afficionado of pine-adjacent scents, so I've convinced myself I'm not missing out. If you have tried it, leave a comment and tell us what you think.\n\n**Dragonfly Wings**: *white lotus absolute, jasmine sambac absolute, umeshu (also known as plum wine), peonies, sparkling lake water, white rice, lily pads, cotton, blonde woods, and a hint of pink pepper.* There's something about the combination of plum, florals and the strong rice note that I do not like at all. I'm perfectly fine with rice in other fragrances, but I just don't like it paired with fruity notes.\n\n**Dreaming Evil**: *Vanilla, tonka bean, benzoin, cocoa, sheer woods, oud.* A big, gunky chocolate. Very fun, though I feel like most indie brands have a take on cocoa + benzoin. Fun though.\n\n**Falling Stars (mean you are with me)**: *A super-cozy, rich and warm blend of black coffee, almond cream, sandalwood, natural oud, palo santo oil, tonka bean absolute, and vanilla bean. For this scent, choose how you like your coffee: black, marshmallow cloud, cardamom orange cream with brown sugar, strawberry and coconut milk cold brew, cookie butter oat milk iced latte, and salted vanilla sweet cream*. My favourite one is the orange cardamom one, smells exactly like orange chocolates, I love it. Black is also wonderful, just a lovely cosy coffee. The salted vanilla is a little meh, honestly. The strawberry coconut one is gross. Haven't tried the other two but... I might lol.\n\n**Follow Me Into The Deep**: *Vanilla orchid, sweetened coconut milk, tonka, nutmeg.* Legitimately the only Sorce I've tried that actively disappointed me. There's a whiff of plastic for about 5 minutes then absolutely nothing. Sad thing.\n\n**Frostbitten**: *An opening of evergreen forest gilded with sparkling snow dries down to reveal a super-sexy blend of cardamom, white and dripping golden amber, a hint of caramelized sugar, and a memory of a just-bitten maraschino cherry.* Wildly mentholated. A blow-your-head-off piney fresh burst. The drydown is quite nice though, but I'm just not a winter forest girl.\n\n**Good at Being Bad**: *Dark, salted vanilla, buttercream, a swirl of honey, and a whisper of jasmine.* This is actually kind of gross and smells exactly like the $2 Shop where me and my friends used to buy our cheap incense in high school. Gooey buttercream and stanky jasmine. Having said that, I absolutely love it and will be acquiring a backup bottle.\n\n**Her Kind**: *Amber, musk, sandalwood, benzoin, Cashmeran, myrrh, vanilla, wisps of smoke.* Beautiful, sexy, cosy, but a little light, to be honest. Smells like something you'd get from, say, dedcool. And if I'm making the effort to get an indie all the way from America via the faff of a forwarding service, it needs to blow my mind.\n\n**I Think About You, Too**: *Wild orange, petitgrain, orange blossom, caramelized sugar, Ambroxan.* Probably the second sweetest of the oranges. I don't much care for orange blossom though, so there's that.\n\n**Love and Complications**: *Brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk, plumeria, passionfruit and soft woods.* I love this. It's big and rich and heavy and tropical. Heavy on the plumeria, so it's a lot more floral than you'd expect from the notes. Also, the passionfruit is very sour and skunky, like the weed notes I've smelled from other houses, so... might not be safe for work, but i dont know where you work so ymmv.\n\n**Love and the Sea**: *Passion fruit and raspberry lemonade, salty skin, coconut water, neroli, driftwood, ambergris (vegan, synthetic).* A much more normal passionfruit. Beachy and pretty but not nearly sweet or skanky enough for me.\n\n**Mermaids Sing of Lost Lovers**: *Grenadine, heady jasmine absolute, ylang ylang, white chocolate, caramel, ambergris.* Relatively re@listic Grenadine. Thick, syrupy, cherry-adjacent sweetness.\n\n**Midnight Wedding**: *Bergamot, oud, patchouli, sandalwood, tonka bean, Ambroxan.* Jesus christ this is very very masculine. Deep and dark and loud and not my thing at all.\n\n**Nothing Burns Like the Cold**: *Jasmine absolute, toasted rice, saffron threads, luscious caramel, a trio of vanillas (vanilla CO2, vanilla planifolia accord, and a house tincture of Madagascan vanilla beans), Ambroxan, and velvety musk.* I love it. I love it so much. It smells exactly like BR540 except even richer and sweeter, with the extra caramel and toasted rice. So for the BR540 haters... yeah, this might not be for you. Which is fine! More for me! (Yeah I'll probably be getting two bottles, whatever, you're not my therapist)\n\n**Party Under the Oak Trees**: *Fuzzy peach skin warmed in the sun, pink pepper, a hint of cinnamon, sweet tea, oakmoss, cedar, and humid greenery.* Woodsy, sweet, peachy and very very green. I'm personally not all that excited about it, but I can imagine people would be if they like super strong oakmoss.\n\n**Pelicans Dive in the Ocean**: *Palo santo, pear, fresh linen, sea salt, Ambroxan, ambrette, sunlight playing off of clear blue water.* Don't go into this expecting much pear. It's very aquatic.\n\n**Reduced to a Thing That Wants You**: *Yellow mandarin, pink pepper, tuberose, vanilla bean, marshmallow cream, sandalwood, nutmeg, sheer amber, warm skin and clean sheets.* Maybe the third sweetest of the oranges? Very nice, but there's  not that much separating all of them.\n\n**Something Wicked**: *Vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, whiskey.* Considering the notes, this is surprisingly short-lived, light, and underwhelming.\n\n**Seance**: *Campari, orange, cinnamon, jasmine sambac absolute, immortelle absolute, ambrette, vanilla sugar, smoked amber, salt, Australian sandalwood oil, cashmere woods.* This is everything. Rich, sweet, strong, lasts forever, and so much more than the sum of its parts.
