It’s literally in limbo! I’m sure a Computer Science grad can walk you through the multi day process AI had to explain to me to retrieve these files but I’m not a doctorate in cyber security. I’m an everyday businessmen, in tech no less, that simply needs access to my notes and can’t get to them.\nI repeat, if you have a large quantity of important notes, don’t get this app unless you keep ICloud Sync off and manually email everything you want saved to yourself, because this app makes your notes inaccessible by keeping them in a state of ETERNAL ‘Still Downloading’ if you have the least bit of storage problems. \nAnd that’s on both ends btw. \nEven in the cloud and drives where they should’ve been stored I either don’t see them or it’s too complicated to access and send them back to the tablet where they’re manageable. \nIn either case, I’d say everything else about the app is sublime, especially the very kind customer service reps who I have to frequent regularly for assistance. \nBut again, if you’re a professional with a lot of notes, or even a few notes that use a lot of storage space, I pray for you.","authorHash":"f31a9a1f82ad7afbab7b2a40f88fee8e","rating":2,"offTopic":false},{"id":"4fa2d477-ff16-4181-8d85-0edd18a33d31","excerpt":"Notability: AI Notes & Planner — Very nice and modern feeling — TLDR: Hand writing is a very pleasant experience with Notability, however the typing does not line up with the lines of the page. There are some features that I didn't have before that I appreciate, and it just overall looks much more modern than I am used to with Goodnotes 5. \n\nA non-negotiable feature for me was the ability to type directly onto a page and have it line up with the ruled lines on the \"paper.\" Notability does allow you to type directly onto a page without having to use text boxes, but the spacing does not line up with the ruled lines. This is very disappointing to me, I was highly considering paying until I experienced this.\n\nAnother negative is that making folders and folders within folders doesn't feel as smooth as it could be.\n\nI noticed that there is a notability app for Windows. It would have been very nice if my notes could sync between my iPad and my Windows laptop, as that is a feature that Goodnotes 5 (and possibly 6 but idk firsthand) lacks.
